"I don't want to do anything. I don't even want to start this day because then I'll just be expected to finish it." ― Rainbow Rowelltw- mentions of postpartum depression
AMELIA LIED ON HER HOSPITAL BED.
Jack was lied down in the his incubator next to her.
Amelia had yet to pick him up since the doctors had first placed him in her arms.
Jackson Gideon Hotchner was the name they had chosen for their baby boy.
Amelia lied a hand on her belly. Pulling at the skin as a tear escaped her eyes.
It was then when Aaron entered the room Amelia turning her head as she wiped the tear that began to fall from her eye.
"Discharge papers." Aaron spoke waving them in his hand.
Amelia turned giving him a forced smile. "Everything okay?" He asked her.
"Yeah everything's fine." Aaron smiled as he walked over to Jack. "I wonder if he's going to be this peaceful when we bring him home." He joked.
Amelia didn't respond as a nurse walked in with a diaper bag. "Hi! We usually give these bags before the birth but you guys are just about ready to get going!" The nurse giggled to herself.
Aaron met her halfway taking the diaper bag from her. "Thank you."
"Of course! I just have to say, your baby is the cutest!" The nurse gushed as Amelia cleared her throat hell bent on changing the subject.
"Are these all the discharge papers?" Amelia asked.
The nurse blushed. "Yes, they are."
"Okay we'll have them out for you in a few minutes." Amelia spoke in an attempt to dismiss the nurse.
"Of course, I'll leave you to it." The nurse nodded at the two before she left the room.
"Are you okay?" Aaron asked.
"Yes I'm fine I just want to leave soon." Amelia spoke courtly.
Aaron nodded. "Okay."
