2 years ago today I came to live with my foster father and in 3 days I leave for marine core center for boot camp.

I'm at 21 and today Hank let me borrow the SUV to go birthday shopping.

We count the day I was found as my birthday cause I can't remember the exact date.

I checked and had a message from hank

Hank: having fun?

Me: yeah I'll come back soon

Hank: no rush but montie has some news for us

Me: I'm done are u at 21

Hank: be careful my insurance hates me already😁

Me:😮😂be there in a few

I checked out and went to 21 and as I entered Ms. Trudy buzzed me up

I walked in and waved to Al as I knocked and Hank let me in his office where montie was

Montie is a p.i.. I decided about 6 months ago to start looking for any other family.

I wanna know if what mama said was true.

"Hey montie"

I sat on the couch since I'm still a little off about people touching me and Im glad Monty noticed

"Hey girl "

"So whatcha got"

"Nothing much . Iv tried kid but nothing come up I'm sorry"

I was a little disappointed but I didn't know what to expect"hes gunna keep looking"

I smiled as he left and I rode home with Hank

"I just wish I could remember'

Hank hugged me after we got in"it'll come to ya there's a Strom coming tonite go make sure ur bikes put up"

I smiled and went back out as I walked to the garage. I've been working at reception at 21 and I've bought myself a  Ninja.

I also got into fixing vehicles but I have no idea where I learned it.

I started fixing people's motorcycles and am almost done building my own chopper

Hank's gunna put it all up till I'm back home but I kinda am scared to leave

I finally found peace here but it's not home. I feel like there are people. That misse but I don't know

W hadca big party and 3 days later Hank was dropin me off

"I'll always be here for ya kid" I hugged him by before I went and started my newl life.

(1.5 years later .)

I turned 18 about 6 months ago and have been in ine us Marines almost a year and a half. I learned today I'll be getting deployed and I need to tell Hank.

I'm on my bike headed to 21 and I'm scared .

What if something happens?

I walked in and aunt Trudy (started calling her aunt since she's the only woman I actually trust)buzzed me up

"Hey kid" I heard as I walked in and hugged Hank

"Can we talk" he looked at me and nodded as we walked into his office

"Everything ok?"

"I'm getting deployed" he stoped and looked at me "the need security at the base outside bagdad . Me Alex and a few other got chosen"
