Back Together - Alessia Russo

        It's my first England camp ever... well, in seniors. I did a few camps when I was younger in the under 17's with Georgia Stanway, Alessia Russo, Anna Patten, Sandy MacIver, and Chloe Kelly, but never got called up after that, which is a bit of a bummer.

I hardly kept in contact with any of them, apart from Georgia. I don't really know why, it just happened, but I'm transferring to Arsenal this next season, so I need some familiar WSL faces around me. I've been playing for Wolfsburg for a little bit, obviously having to go against some of the WSL girls, but now I'm going to be IN the WSL so it's all going to be a bit different.

Me and Georgia travelled together, considering we are both in Germany, and arrived together, both of us looking stylish if i may add. "How are you feeling, y/n?" Georgia whispered just before we arrived. "Weird. It's going to be so strange seeing some of the girls again properly, but I think I'll be okay. I got you right?" I chuckled and she nodded. "Alwayssss. You can hang out with me, Lucy, Keira, and Leah if you like? I think that'll be fun." She smiled and I nodded, wanting to be around Georgia all the time for that comfort, even if I didn't know the rest of her group that much.

Once we arrived, we took our bags into the foyer and were met by Sarina who introduced herself to me immediately. "Hi Y/n! I'm Sarina. I know we have met before but it's obviously a little nerve-wracking this first senior call up, so I just wanted you to know where I am and where I'll be if you need anything." She smiled, then carried on telling me all about where her office is, what hours she's in, and that I can come to her any time of the day if I have any questions or anything.

Once that finished, me and Georgia went up to our rooms, which were right next to each other. She was with Leah, of course, but I didn't know who I was with yet. We put our bags away and went downstairs into the common room where a few people were already.

"Y/n! Oh my gosh I haven't seen you in so long! How are you? How's everything been?!" Chloe Kelly smiled, running over to me. "Good, good. It's been good." I chuckled as she wrapped her arms around me. Everyone else greeted me, hugging me, shaking hands, before we all decided to sit and wait for the rest of the girls to turn up. We were sat down for about 20 minutes before we heard two people outside.

"No Leah. You don't understand! You don't get it. I'm scared. I'm really scared. What if it happens again?" I heard a very familiar voice say. "If it happens, it happens. You can't hold them back just because you think it's bad. It's going to be okay." Leah Williamson spoke, and everything went silent for another 30 seconds. "What if I fall for her again...?" The same voice whispered, and Leah replied immediately. "Then let it happen, Alessia. Let it happen. Just don't like... jump straight into it. She's coming to Arsenal soon, so you'll have loads of time to be with her. Just... see how it goes." She whispered and they both walked in.

As soon as Alessia walked in, I stood up for some reason. Georgia looked at me very strangely, as did everyone else, and me and Alessia just stood and stared at each other with a sort of sad look on our faces. I tried to say hi, but none of my words would come out.

I loved Alessia, maybe in a way that I shouldn't have, but that all stopped for some reason... a reason which we both don't know.

We still stood and looked at each other, until Chloe came back over. "Hey Less! How have you been?" She smiled, trying to break the silence. "G-good." She whispered back, still looking at me. I nearly broke, but instead I just walked off past her and back up to my room to have a well needed post-flight shower. I took a while in there until I heard a knock, wrapped a towel around my body and went and answered. "We need to talk." Georgia said, stood next to Leah. "Erm... yeah okay. Give me like 5? Come in if you want but I need to get dressed." I chuckled lightly, and they both nodded, walking into my room, and letting me go back to my bathroom and slipping into my England clothes.
