You are just about to give up with university. It's so boring, so lonely. You have no friends here and it's hard for you to make new ones. You are currently in the middle of maths, and having known these things already, you start to pack up to leave early. You claim you don't need to be here, but when that door opened and in walked a beautiful girl, you stopped and sat back down.
There are many beautiful girls here, but non like her. You start to wonder where you have seen her before. "Sorry I'm late. I went to the wrong class." She chuckled, making a few of us smile. She started walking over to you and pointed at the seat next to you. "Anyone sitting here?" She asked and you shook your head, putting an airpod in and putting Netflix on your laptop before you got interrupted again. "You not paying attention?" She giggled and you shook your head. "I know it all already. It's boring in here." You smiled back and she nodded. "Maybe you can help me?"
You spent the next 2 hours of class helping her with what she missed out on, and actually helped her study rather than you just giving her the answers. "You're smart." She chuckled, making you smile a little. "Eh, I guess. Got good grades and shit but it's the attendance that brings me down." You spoke truthfully, which she appreciated. "So, what's your name?" She asked and you debated telling her or not. "Y/n Earps." You confessed and she smiled a little. "What about you?" You asked, not wanting to be rude. "Oh, erm, Georgia Stanway." She smiled and it clicked.
"Ohhh you know my sister, don't you?" You asked and she nodded. It got a little awkward after that, purely because you don't want her to think that you're using her for fame... but then again you wouldn't be... you have your sister if you wanted the fame, but you don't want it.
It was silent for about 5 minutes, until the teacher dismissed us, and Georgia looked right at you. "Hey, I was thinking of going to one of the lunch spots around here. Want to come?" She asked, nicely, and you nodded. "Sure, where were you thinking of going?" You smiled, knowing there are about 16 different lunch spots on this campus... no exaggeration. "Oh, I actually don't know. Maybe you can help me?" She chuckled and you nodded, letting her follow you to a cute cafe called 'The Ugly Duckling.'
You both immediately looked at the little menu, then ordered. You ordered some honey chicken and fried rice, and she ordered some beef and broccoli dish which made you pull a funny face. "Don't like beef?" She chuckled and you giggled a little. "I don't like broccoli." You replied, making her laugh. "Of course."
You spent the next 30 minutes eating, talking, and not once did she bring up your sister. You're actually very grateful for that, because you want people to see you for who you are and not who your sister is; not that Mary isn't EXCEPTIONAL on and off the pitch, but it's just not nice being known for someone else in your family.
"So, you're studying sports physiology too?" She asked and you nodded happily. "Yeah, I think it's important, you know? Well, you do know. Learning about the body and how to decrease injuries and try and prevent them. To learn what nutrition needs to go in our bodies for us to excel... It just seems so fascinating to me, and if I can help people excel in any types of sport, not just football, then that's what I want to do." You rambled, making her put her fork down and look at you as if she is hearing every single word you're on about.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have rambled." You chuckled but she shook her head. "No, it's absolutely fine. I love hearing people talk about how passionate they are about what they like." She smiled softly, making you calm down a little. At least she likes you – you can already see that.
See, you haven't actually met a lot of Mary's friends. You've bet Alessia, Tooney, Maya Le Tissier, but that's about it... So, you don't really know any other England teammates which is kind of a bummer, but at the same time, it's nice getting to know Georgia outside of the football environment.
