Childe couldn't sleep a wink for many months, no matter how hard he tried to calm himself down. The moment he opens his eyes,he felt he in safe zone. He also questioned why he had acted that way towards Thoma yesterday. The image of Thoma's surprised face was still fresh in his mind, and he couldn't resist recalling their conversation from the previous night. Maybe, the he truly fallen in love with Thoma. He got up and took a shower, his mind occupied with thoughts of Thoma's whereabouts.

After putting on an outfit that Thoma had left for him the day before, he headed straight to the kitchen. "Where is he?" He looked around for Thoma. "Who are you looking for?" an old woman asked him with a big smile, holding a broom. "Oh, I'm sorry. I was looking for Thoma. Do you know where he is?" Childe asked politely. "I see. Thoma went to the market this morning. Have you had breakfast already? If not, go ahead and eat first," the old woman said with a smile. "Okay," Childe replied, forcing a smile. "Of course, he would avoid me for sure," he thought to himself.

As he sat and ate the porridge that Thoma had prepared, he noticed a small note from Thoma.

The note says:

You better eat first. Don't wait for me, I'm going to go to the market to buy some wet food. If you don't eat, I'm gonna hunt you >:(

Childe chuckled. "His handwriting is nice," he thought as he happily ate the porridge. Grandma Oui smiled at him from afar.

Earlier that morning, Thoma had woken up earlier than usual, unable to sleep well. After taking a cold shower, he slowly opened his room door, being careful not to wake Childe, who was still sleeping soundly. "Thank goodness, he can sleep well," Thoma thought to himself as he opened his wardrobe. "I think I'm going disturb him for some reason," he said to himself before leaving his room.

"Who?" Grandma Oui asked Thoma as she noticed him. Thoma was startled. "Grandma, you scared me!" he exclaimed. Grandma Oui laughed. "So, who is he? Your boyfriend?" she teased. "No, he's not. He's just someone that I know," Thoma replied as he walked with her to the kitchen. "Why are you here? Aren't your granddaughters forbidding you to do chores?" Thoma asked her while cutting vegetables. "Tch, you are just like my granddaughter. Always ordering me around," Grandma Oui pouted. Thoma hugged her gently. "This is for your own good too. We all are concerned about you," Thoma said. "If you say so, I'm going to the market. Do you want to buy something?" Thoma asked Grandma Oui. "Can I come with you?" Grandma Oui asked, smiling. "Of course you can't," Thoma replied, crossing his arms. "But there's something you can do since you are offering some helps."

Back to present,

"Thanks for covering up my wound," Childe politely bowed to Grandma Oui. "That's really a small matter," Grandma Oui said, patting Childe's back. Childe could only smile awkwardly. "So, what do you think about him?" Grandma Oui asked. "About whom?" Childe asked in return. "Thoma, of course! He's a nice kid, you know. Everyone in this town really likes him. He's very polite with the older people and he is so gentle with the kids. He's the perfect guy to ever exist. Not only that, but he's also good at doing house chores," Grandma Oui admired Thoma. Childe remained silent. "You can tell that he is really good at being the only maid for many years," Childe replied. "Oh, you didn't know that Thoma got into an accident?" Grandma Oui asked Childe. "What accident? Can you tell me what happened?" Childe asked Grandma Oui, curious about what had happened to Thoma.

"Grandma, I'm back," Thoma said, panting. "Thanks for helping me, Kuki. You really are a lifesaver," Thoma hugged Kuki. "It's a small matter, man. Like dude. You surely need to learn how to ask people for help. I know you are a man, but you can't even rely on someone," Kuki shrugged. Thoma smiled, "I surely do. Do you want to rest and drink some tea? I will brew it for you," Thoma offered. At first, Kuki declined the offer, but after the long walk from the market to Kamisato Estate, she was grateful for the rest. "Sure, I want to meet Grandma Oui at the back to say hi if she's here. I want hot green tea," Kuki said as she walked to the back. "Okay, I will meet you at the back later," Thoma said as he brought the groceries he had bought earlier to the kitchen.

While preparing the beverages, Childe watched Thoma from afar. "You know, I feel like I'm about to get hunted by predators," Thoma said, turning around to face Childe. Childe chuckled. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. Why didn't you ask me for help? It's quite heavy, you know," Childe said as he slowly rummaged through the plastic bag. "Well, you are the patient. How can I ask you for help?" Thoma replied. "There's quite a lot. Why did you buy so much?" Childe asked Thoma. "Oh, that's for Lord Ayato. He will soon be back with his business client," Thoma explained. Childe nodded, understandingly. "I see." Actually, Thoma felt a little curious about Childe's reaction when he mentioned 'Lord Ayato'. He knew that Lord Ayato and he had a bit of a tense relationship. Thoma wanted to confirm whether yesterday Childe had been under the influence of medication or was sober.

"Why didn't you go outside? I almost done preparing our snacks," Thoma said to Childe. Childe remained silent, just smiled, and walked away.  Thoma continued to prepare the snacks.

Later that night, Thoma sat outside his room, admiring the night sky. "What are you looking at?" Childe asked, blocking Thoma's view. "Admiring the night sky until something bothers me," Thoma replied, mocking Childe. Childe smiled and placed his wet towel on Thoma's face. "HEY," Thoma exclaimed, removing the towel.
