They walked past the inn. Thoma suddenly stopped, causing Childe to stop as well. "Is something wrong, honey?" Childe asked, noticing Thoma's sudden halt. Thoma looked at Childe, feeling embarrassed. "I'm pretty tired today. Can we stay here?" Thoma asked hesitantly.
"Oh, you want me to piggyback you? I understand, wait," Childe said, trying to adjust his position.
"No! I mean, gosh, this is so embarrassing," Thoma grumbled, flustered.
Childe tilted his head and glanced at the inn, suddenly understanding what Thoma was trying to say. He flushed red. Thoma looked at Childe, waiting for him to catch on. "Do you get the hint?" Thoma asked.
"I'm so clueless," Childe exclaimed, realizing what Thoma was hinting at. Thoma blushed and looked away, feeling embarrassed by the misunderstanding.
Childe quickly composed himself and smiled, "Yeah, I got it. Let's get a room."
After checking into the inn, they both sat quietly on the bed, each too shy to make a move. "Ugh, I'm the one who suggested this. Now I'm too embarrassed to even twitch," Thoma thought to himself, feeling frustrated. Whenever their eyes met, they quickly looked away.
After a minute of awkward silence, Childe finally spoke up. "Would you like to take a bath? I can prepare it for you if you don't mind," he offered, noticing Thoma fidgeting nervously.
"No, I'll do it myself!" Thoma replied hastily, rushing to the bathroom. Childe couldn't help but wonder if this was Thoma's first time feeling so uneasy. 'Cute,' Childe thought, finding Thoma's nervousness endearing, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips.
After Thoma emerged from the bath, dressed in a bathrobe, Childe became flustered, his heart pounding. "Y-you can go take your bath now. I'm already prepared for you," Thoma said, still fidgeting.
Childe stood up and approached Thoma, kissing his neck. "Can we do it now? I'd be pretty hurt if you still sent me to take a bath," Childe said, nuzzling and kissing Thoma's neck. Thoma giggled and let out a soft moan as Childe sucked and kissed his neck.
"Yeah, you should go take a bath. You smell funny," Thoma said, looking into Childe's blue eyes. Childe pouted, "If you say so."
10 minutes later, Childe finished showering and rushed to the bed where Thoma lay. "I know it" Childe chuckled when he saw his lovely boyfriend already asleep soundly. Childe gently climbed into bed beside Thoma, careful not to wake him. He admired Thoma's peaceful expression, feeling grateful for their time together. He caressed his boyfriend's hair gently. By looking at him, he felt at peace finally. Childe felt a wave of contentment wash over him as he watched Thoma sleep. He tucked the blanket around Thoma, ensuring he was comfortable before settling down himself. With a soft smile, Childe whispered, "I love you," knowing that even in sleep, Thoma could feel his love. Closing his eyes, Childe drifted off, feeling grateful for the love they shared.
As Childe drifted off to sleep, thoughts of their future together filled his mind. He imagined the adventures they would share and the deepening love between them. In that moment, everything seemed perfect, and he knew that with Thoma beside him, he could face any challenge life presented. They would build a life together, one brimming with love, laughter, and joy.
However, amidst his dreams, a weight lingered in his heart. Childe longed to leave the organization behind, to focus on his own life and leave behind the guilt and grief that burdened him. He was tired of it all. He also grappled with the truth about his identity, wanting to reveal to Thoma that he was not just a simple toy merchant in Tevyat, but a member of the Fatui.
Wrapping his arms around Thoma, he held him close, whispering, "I don't want to lose you," as if fearing that his secrets could drive them apart.
The next morning, Thoma opened his eyes and looked at Childe, who was still sound asleep while wrapping his hand around his waist, wondering why he was in the inn. He suddenly remembered yesterday's event. "We should have done it yesterday, stupid Thoma!" He was mad at himself. "Did yesterday's event really occur? Are we dating now?" Thoma flustered while looking at Childe, who was still sleeping.
After a while, Childe slowly woke up. He noticed Thoma's intense gaze fixed on him. "Good morning, honey. What's on your mind?" Childe asked, rubbing his eyes.
Thoma hesitated, unsure of how to bring up yesterday's events. "Um, well, about yesterday..." he began, but was interrupted by Childe. "Yesterday was amazing," Childe said with a smile. "I had a great time with you."
Thoma's heart skipped a beat. "Really? Me too," he replied, relieved that Childe felt the same way. "So, uh, does this mean... we're dating?" Childe chuckled. "Why? Had a second thought?" he said, reaching out to hold Thoma's hand. "No! I mean, this actually feels new to me and I'm very sorry for last night. I swear I don't feel that tired," Thoma worries. Childe smiled warmly at him. "That's okay, we can take it slow, you know." He leaned in to kiss Thoma on the cheeks. Thoma's face lit up with joy.
"Do you want to get some sleep? The staff can wait for us," Childe pulls Thoma closer to him. "I would love to," Thoma smiles at Childe, kisses his cheeks as sealing their newfound relationship with a tender moment. They both chuckle.
They had their breakfast at a bread stall. Lots of passersby greeted Thoma since he was very friendly towards them. "Aren't you a little too friendly with others and leaving me out?" Childe grumbled. Thoma noticed, "I think not? It's just how I am," Thoma replied with a smile. Childe stared at him intensely. "I don't like how friendly you are with others," Childe said, taking a bite of his bread. "Well,-".
"Thoma!", Thoma turned his back and noticed his friend. "Kaze! Childe, I will be right back, okay I promise," Thoma pecked Childe's lips to lighten Childe for a while. Childe blushed. "Make it fast," Childe pouted. Thoma nodded and went to Kaze. Childe was just eating happily, knowing Thoma was trying to consult him.
As Thoma went to greet Kaze, Childe sat there, nibbling on his bread, a bit lost in thought. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy towards Thoma.
Meanwhile, Thoma and Kaze engaged in a lively conversation, catching up on things since their last meeting. Thoma was animated, his gestures and expressions showing his excitement. Kaze seemed equally pleased to see Thoma, their bond evident in their comfortable interaction.
After a few minutes, Thoma excused himself from Kaze's company and returned to where Childe was waiting. "Sorry about that, Childe. Kaze just wanted to discuss something important," Thoma explained, hoping to ease any lingering tension.
Childe nodded, though his expression remained somewhat distant. Sensing Childe's mood, Thoma decided to change the subject, steering the conversation towards lighter topics. "Hey, how about we explore the market a bit more? I heard there's a new stall selling some delicious sweets. What do you say?" Thoma suggested, trying to cheer Childe up. Childe's lips twitched into a small smile. "Sure, why not," he replied, feeling a bit better. As they walked through the bustling market, Thoma made sure to include Childe in every interaction, making him feel valued and included.
By the end of the day, Childe's initial jealousy had faded, replaced by a deep appreciation for Thoma's friendship and understanding. Thoma, as always, had a knack for bringing a smile to Childe's face.
