A terrible night it was ,dusty,raging fire,people screaming for help. James couldn't hear anything but screaming and shrieking. People in the hall were panicking,searching for exits,helping those who were injured.James was lying on the floor,frozen. He was too shocked and puzzled about what was happening.
All of a sudden,a brilliant idea came to his mind.He stood on his two foot and went to his teleportation device.He examined it carefully since the explosion almost damaged everything inside the hall.
"Please work,please work,please work!"James tried to activate the device again.
And miraculously,it was activated once again but seems to be in a pretty bad shape.
"Great it's still working!"He cried out with a little bit of relief.He was lucky because he brought extra car batteries to supply his device in case there was trouble.He never expected it to be useful in this kind of situation.
Then,he quickly modified the device range and coordinates.The situation in the hall is getting from bad to worst.The fire getting more rampant,small explosion coming here and there and some part of the hall was collapsing.Not to mention there were many kinds of inventions that could lead to more explosions.Even James realized that the hall will explode anytime together with all the people in there.
"Everyone!Gather around and stay calm .This machine is our last ray of hope! I need you people to stay close and stick to each other!"That was the first time he ever raised his voice like that.
Almost all of them gathered nearby the device.Professor Allen was there too with his arm injured.Everyone keeps their eye on James putting all their trust in him to get them out of the hell they were facing.After he had done setting up his device he pushed the button to start the teleportation process.
"My invention...Take us out of here."He whispered to himself.
At that point,the teleportation device was flickering,buzzing and shaking abnormally.However,everyone didn't let their hope down.Their eyes were shedding tears but they still believed in James.Everyone saw a glimpse of hope in him.Immediately,the device flashed out a really strong light that that was potentially could blind people.In a blink of an eye,they all have been teleported at the field outside of the burning hall.Everybody head was spinning like a top and their eyes were damaged pretty bad.
"We're out??!"A woman asked in disbelief.
"We're alive!"Said a few guys.
"Oh my god we're actually saved!!!"
"I'm alive!!!"Everyone cried in happiness and disbelief.
After a while,a powerful explosion with a shockwave was heard and felt by all of them from where the hall was located.They were left speechless.Wondering what would happen if they didn't escape in time,of course death awaits them.The fire department has arrived at the to take out the fire and searched for bodies that didn't managed to escape the calamity.At the same time, the medical department also arrived to treat the survivors with physical injuries or mental injuries.
"Oh my gosh,so many people managed to escape."One of the medic exclaimed.
The medical team divided a group to treat the survivors.A nurse asked one of them.
"How did you guys managed to escape in a large number?"
"That kid over there,he teleported all of us out here."The man pointed at the unconscious James.
Few days after the incident,James opened his eyes,staring at the plain white ceiling lying on the hospital bed.
"Since when do I get here?"He was baffled.
He had a terrible headache.He get off the bed and went outside.
