Chapter-7

Ansh was thankful that Shreshth didn't asked about anything else because he didn't know how to explain those supernatural things that happened to him. So he didn't tell him about them. There was a sudden knock on Ansh's door causing Ansh and Shreshth to flinch away. The door opened and in came Anshika with snacks and cold drinks. She was feeling shy in front of Shreshth. She put the snacks down on the table and handed one coke to Shreshth. Shreshth smiled at her and thanked her. Anshika blushed. Ansh rolled his eyes at Anshika who was staring at Shreshth as if she was in some trance.

" Don't you have some homework to finish?" Ansh asked bringing her out of her trance. She looked at her brother annoyedly and than gave a sweet smile to Shreshth before leaving. Once Anshika left, Ansh shut the door and apologised to Shreshth for her behaviour. Shreshth just waved it off.

Ansh sat down beside him and said, " Thank you for staying ".

Shreshth just smiled and said," We are friends and friends are always there for each other".

The next day, Ansh excitedly got ready for the college. He was flying on cloud nine for yesterday was the best day of his life as he had Shreshth with him. Actually it was the second best day of his life. The best day of his life was when Shreshth sat beside him in the bus. That day was such a blissful day. He sighed dreamily. A goofy grin decorating his face. He turned around and  stopped smiling as he found his mom leaning on the doorframe with a smirk playing on her face. Ansh groaned and said," Not again mom,".

" What? I am not doing anything".

Ansh side-eyed her and left for college.

Ansh was sitting on his class at the second last row, his eyes were glued to the door waiting for Shreshth to arrive.

Shreshth, Somya and Vivaan were talking with each other as they walked to their class.

" Where were you yesterday?" asked Somya.

" None of your business." said Shreshth.

" Well, it is our business. Everything related to you is our business. So tell us where you disappeared yesterday," said Vivaan.

Shreshth rolled his eyes at him.

" Hey, don't you roll your eyes at me." Vivaan said as they arrived at the class.

" We have arrived, behave." Somya said to Vivaan. They looked around to look for their seats and went to their respective seats. Well Vivaan and Somya went to their respective seats, Shreshth went to Ansh.

" Hi," Shreshth greeted.

"Hi," Ansh greeted back and they kept on smiling at each other. Somya noticed it and nudged Vivaan who was sitting beside her.

" What?" Vivaan said. Somya pointed towards Shreshth and Ansh. Vivaan looked towards them and smirked. "Finally", he whispered. Both Somya and Vivaan knew of Ansh's crush on Shreshth and of Shreshth's crush on Ansh. They have been pining over each other for two years. Finally their relationship was going somewhere and maybe, just maybe these two lovebirds would finally realize their feelings for each other and become the most coveted couple in the campus.

Avantika was standing behind the tree hiding from the sight. Her eyes trained on Ansh as she glared at him. She gripped her injured hand, blood dripping from it. With one last glare, she vanished.
