It is around 2 AM, and I am still not asleep, in the shed, laying on the floor as I wonder, what's it like to fly one of those white long things? ...and also why the leaves are falling whenever it gets colder, but that's from the profession of cutting grass that I have.
But I had enough of this laying on the floor, I am rebelling, I don't want to cut grass! (Maybe just eat it, yes)
So what my next move was? To do the unspeakable, cut grass at night, take it into a sack sort of as a food source for the trip, and then quickly leave!
Seems fool proof! But there was one problem... I would need to get some sort of a dummy that looks like me and place it in the middle of the lawn...
...
So here I was, sneaking into my Owner's house in the middle of the night.
Previous time that he screamed at me, he called me "a decrepit toaster", so I'm guessing that the kitchen appliance will do just well in covering my tracks!
I'm so damn smart!
Taking the toaster out of the plug, I just had to hope that he won't figure out the toaster from the kitchen is missing.
Surprisingly the Owner didn't wake up during my casual walkaround inside the building, does he not have some sort of alarm system? I do! That's how I protect the shed!
Regardless, the toaster was there on the middle of the lawn, perfect! Looks just like me!
I cut and packed up some grass, locking the shed and looking at the toaster,
"Protect this lawn with your LIFE."I commanded to the toaster, it didn't respond at all, but I took it as his way of saying that the assignment was understood, it was just intimidated.
I took one final breath, looking at the street in front of me, before gazing back at the house.
...It was a scary thought to just... leave the place, after all the years I've served here? I was going to cut grass on some other rock in the sky. But I knew being homesick wouldn't help me one bit, so I did what many might do, and forced myself out there.
