It was Sunday, the last day of them being together, according to the deak they had made.
Siddharth couldn't sleep well last night. He regretted his actions so bad that sleep was not enough to bring him peace.
He got up from the bed without waking his wife and went to the kitchen to surprise her with a morning tea.
He might not forgive him for his deed, but he wanted to know that she has forgiven him. That would bring him a sort of peace.
"Good Morning Avneet," he softly greeted her while keeping the tray on the bed side table.
"Wake up, it is 7.30 already," he said.
"WHAT! 7.30 already?" She woke up with a jerk. "I will bring you your coffee, give me a minute."
He chuckled and pulled her into his embrace.
"Calm down, my love," he said. "I have brought you tea, today."
"Why did you bother yourself?" She said witha big yawn.
"Did you have a good sleep?" He asked as she was rubbing her eyes.
"Yes, I did. I haven't slept like this for a while," she said with a smile, which made his heart skip a beat.
Was she so special that only a smile was enough to brighten up his day?
____"I will help you to cook!" Siddharth said.
"I don't want the kitchen to burn," she said.
"I promise I will only help you," he pleaded. "I won't romance."
"How can you say that so straight?" She asked with a gasp.
He winked at her."How can I help you?" He whistled.
"Okay, chop me some vegetables," she said.
He nodded and took a chopping board to do as he was expected.
"YAH! I TOLD YOU TO SLICE THE ONIONS, WHY DID YOU DICE IT?" Avneet suddenly yelled.
"Uh? I w-was supposed to d-dice?" He stammered with a nervous chuckle.
"You're supposed to slice!" She replied with a glare.
He scratched the back of his neck with a shy or maybe a nervous smile.
"Just do me a favour," Avneet said. "Go and sit. Don't you dare enter the kitchen."
And that was how he got fired from the kitchen.
He laid on the couch and decided to pick a movie, for them to watch it together.
"Avneet, which kind of movie do you like?" He asked.
"Horror," she replied.
He slapped his own forehead and chose a romantic movie. His wife was really unromantic. But no worries, she would soon become free with his love.
Soon, she served him with the breakfast.
"You're really a master chef," he said while munching into the food.
"Thanks," she replied with a shy smile, and proceeded to take a pill.
"What is that?" He asked.
"Oh this? I have ammonia," she replied.
"I should bring you more of beet and other iron filled foods then," Siddharth said and she smiled.
It was monsoon, and the rain was pouring heavily. There was no chances of seeing sunlight.
But there were enough fun things to so at home. They played with soap balls, just like kids.
