Sitting at the kitchen counter, I watched my mom pace the room; we had been at this for a while now. For some reason, she had woken up with a 'let's-nag-on-Nikki' day on the agenda.

'My room is messy, I have homework that needs to be done, and my grades aren't as high as she thought. She also wants me to spend more time with her and Buffy. But also get out of the house with my friends.'

There was no pleasing her.

Not only that but both Faith and Buffy are getting on my ass about who I need to be Slaying with. Both of them want me to be the one Slaying with them.

It's like being pulled in two different directions at the same time.

"I just don't see why you haven't done your homework yet, Nikki. Also-" I rubbed my temples with a small whimper as she went off on yet another tangent.

Slamming my hands down on the counter, I was lucky things didn't start to fly off the walls with my emotional instability.

"I'm sorry I'm not perfect like Buffy, Mom! I can't be all the things you want me to be, and I certainly can't be in two places at once-" slumping against the counter sluggishly, my mind felt floaty as I closed my eyes tight.

"Nikki?" My eyes opened quickly, and I saw my sister and Faith staring at me in shock. Glancing around, I stood with them in a darkened graveyard, wondering how I had gotten there.

"What the hell was that?" Faith questioned as her dark eyes roamed over me.

Feeling fuzzy again, I saw my body flash red before sitting up with a gasp. My mom's hand was on my shoulder, shaking me as she called out my name in concern.

I was back home in the kitchen, not out with Buffy and Faith in the cemetery. Glancing into my mom's tearful eyes, I let out a puff of air. "Well, that was new."

After my little time warp yesterday, I passed out soon after, and Buffy had to stop Mom from calling the hospital. So today, I was feeling a bit grumpy and a tiny bit scared about what had happened.

But if anyone would know what it was, it was Giles.

The gang and I sat around the table in the library as Giles stood in front of me, listening intently while chewing on the arm of his glasses. Xander and Willow were both surprised to hear of my new talent.

"And you appeared and disappeared in a red flash," Giles repeated after I finished telling him. What happened before that?" he questioned, putting his glasses back on.

"Uh, I was in the kitchen with my mom. She was really getting on my case, and then-" I stopped and quickly eyed my sister for a second before sighing, "I got annoyed and yelled at her, then I kinda went unconscious, I think; that's when I appeared in the cemetery."

Giles' eyes brightened for a moment. "What did you shout at her? What were you feeling?".

"I just had this desperate need for there to be two of me, and suddenly there was. I told her I couldn't be in two places at once because she wants me to do so much, and Buffy wants me to patrol with her, but I want to have my own time too-"
