When she woke up the next morning, her curls all over the place from sleeping with wet hair,Rafe was nowhere to be seen around the house.Maybe it was all just a dream after all.
He didn't want her neither did he need her,did he?
She politely denied the breakfast with the Cameron's and drove off just after getting a bit ready, promising to come by more often until the cut had electricity and water again.
Rose cared about her like she was her own it seemed and it sickened her at some point, feeling overwhelmed by the sudden comfort and missing the simpler one she got from her friends.
So there she was the car parked in front of the even more worn down shed than hers, she sat on the bridge skipping the next flat stone across the surprisingly flat waters. The one year younger blonde sat next to her skipping another stone just seconds after her, atleast his bounced off a few times before sinking down onto the ground of the ocean, where it was met with a hundred thousand other stones and still no stone will ever be the same.
Everything was different and equal in its own way.
Her gaze shifted to the boy next to her,a blue bruise visible on his cheek, his lips curling up again even if he had just seemed to stop crying and find a distraction.
,,I'm such a disappointment" he pouted, his head sinking into his hands again to what she quickly reacted, her heart shattering in a million little pises, hearing him talk about himself like that.
,,Hey J" her voice was calm as she patted his back slowly letting the boy trow himself into her arms once again, the grey shirt was already starting to turn a lot darker due to all the tears spent on it.
She placed her hand in his hair, running trough it once again, feeling his breathing slow down a bit.,,He doesn't deserve you alright"
She felt sick thinking about Luke Maybank, how could anyone destroy something so sweet,so precious.A child, his child. The thought made her shudder and just sometimes she wished to be able to take all the pain away from him just for some time and if he needed it for a whole lifetime.
JJ had texted her about the incident about 20 minutes ago, when she was on her way home and when she got there, gun loaded which was something that JJ didn't know, the bastard was gone, coward.Luke had come home drunk again and found JJ to be in his way, there was no other reasoning and it made her so,so angry.
None of their other friends knew,it was just her and JJ in this and he trusted her, with everything.Maybe this was one of the reasons the two became so close.
In general Cassandra believed that everything,no matter how bad it was,had its reason. That's what she tried telling the saddened boy, that it would all have a good side if possible, she truly didn't believe herself.

It was already 1am when her keys connected with the rusty doorlock and she pushed it open. Her mind kept spinning about how the last days have gotten by it had been two weeks since she put Rafe into his space at the beach meant that only one week was to come by until one of her favorite yearly events.
The bone fire was the only thing young kooks and pougues ever really did together throughout the year which made her sad and happy at the same time.
She still hadn't progressed Rafe's words from the night before, well after all she couldn't take anything he said seriously, right?
After all she was nearly even more concerned about her friends like for sure she worked for the Cameron's now but that didn't mean bonding with them especially Sarah Cameron going to that party felt like backstabbing her and she knew that Kiara wouldn't understand so why try to explain if know no one had mentioned anything, so it was pretty sure none of the four knew anything further beside the brunette kook born and she begged it stayed that way at least until she herself knew what was going on concerning the older Cameron and obviously depending on that finding a way to tell her friends that they are not the only nice people in the world and maybe that deciding about someone based on other experiences isn't always the greatest.
