OR JUST A LOT OF MAKING OUT IM SO SORRY.. :(( it's just, I want to write more of them being in love in this fanfic, sooo yeah :> Also, Navia will appear in chapter four along with Clorinde!<3 Also, in this AU, KAVEH'S DEBT-FREE 😍 (basically, he doesn't have debt in this AU bc he never built the palace of alcazarzaray (I hope I spelled that right) for dori, so he never had to give up money- also, Kaveh's dad and mom are both alive in this AU! (This is becuase the competition never existed, so Kaveh didn't ask for it, and so Kaveh's dad didn't go. and because Kaveh's dad didn't die, his mother didn't leave to Fontaine!) Same thing for Alhaitham's grandma, mother and father! :>> (I did this bc yes) also, imagine Sumeru as a modern looking city :3 ANYWAYS, ENJOY<3

Kaveh's POV:
He had such a pretty home.. he was quite good at decorating. His house was just like him, gorgeous. The way he was being so.. quiet today was reminding me of our past. Back when we were the best of friends. We would laugh together, smile together, cry together, and we would always hang out.

We were inseparable. Everywhere he went, I wouldn't be too far behind, and everywhere I went, he wouldn't be too far behind. We were even neighbors. Once we had our fight, it made things much more awkward between us. I would always try to avoid him, and convince myself that I hated him.

I.. do I hate him?.. maybe I don't. Who am I kidding?.. of course I don't hate him. What did he think about this? What did he think about all of our past problems?.. "So, here is a list of all of the Ecolles.. let's put Lisha aside for now since we can't visit her yet." He easily snapped me out of my trance with just his words. I immediately began to pay attention to his words.

"Valerie's mom is Nina Ecolle, and her father is Kallain Ecolle. Lisha is her sister. Technically, with all of the information we have right now, none of the Ecolles could be the suspect. Unless the murderer is lying about not being an Ecolle, but we have no evidence to suggest that." He continued as I nodded.

We did some more investigating. We found out that Valerie helped Lisha start her perfume and make up business, and that they were extremely close. This means that Lisha must be going through an extremely hard time right now. Her parents were extremely kind people, and both of them are humble business workers. Valerie herself was an extremely important young woman. She owned her very own business in clothing.

It was called "Valiona" which was a rather unusual name for a fashion company, but him and I didn't pay much heed to it. The business her parents worked in was called "Ashino" which was a company in Inazuma that imported and exported items from different nations, and also received exports from different nations.

"Do you want me to take you home now?" Alhaitham asked me as we placed the file away. "Sure! And um, thank you for bringing me over to your house, Alhaitham. It's been so long since we hung out together.." I said quietly as I averted my eyes from him. I could hear him walk closer to me, and wrap his arm around my waist. Again. I looked up at him from surprise.

Was that.. was that blush on his face? I could feel the heat tingle my skin. Damn, he was so hot..

Alhaitham's POV:
He looked so beautiful from this angle. The red fit perfectly on his face, and his eyes.. his eyes looked magical. ..WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, ALHAITHAM? He's.. he's not a model! He's your co-worker. He probably doesn't even feel like this about you! Just.. just don't think about him.

"You're welcome." I said, somehow keeping my cool, and a calm expression remained on my face. "Come on, I'll take you home now." I spoke softly as I spun on my heel and grabbed his wrist to take him to my car. I let out a breath I didn't even realize I was holding in.
