First kiss—a simple lip-locking in front of Mari’s door after a day from work. From the looks of it, it wasn’t anything special but for Jinki, it was one of the most nerve-wracking moments of his life. It wasn’t planned, not scripted. He just followed his intuition, in the right time and the right moment and Bam! Everything fell perfectly into their places.

It didn’t feel rushed, nor was it too late. Just, perfect.

______________

Impatiently, Mari encircled the date 23rd of May in her calendar with her red marker and muttered to herself—“Two days left”

Feeling elated, she hummed her way downstairs only to meet a plausibly well-attired Jinki. “Good Morning.” She beamed and kissed Jinki on the cheek. “Good morning, honey.” He smiled back.

“Why are you so well dressed today? Shooting?”

“Just some interview for Taemin’s new single. Remember when I featured for him?”

 “Good luck then!”

 “Thanks.”

It was one those mornings when everything’s feeling meaningful, yet it’s another normal day. They talk about things, new things. It just feel like they never run out of things to say to each other. Whenever something happens within the day, they’re itching to call or meet their other half just to tell what it is.

One of the perks of being in a relationship is, you could feel that at least one person is willing to listen. When you have this spark that only you two have, it will never end. Even if she has told that story for a thousandth time that afternoon, he is still right there, waiting for her to finish.

“I’ll see you later.” She said before walking out of the car.

“I’ll call you after work, bye!” He kissed her forehead and waved.

You know its love when the things they say everyday still makes your heart beat race at its’ highest speed. His or her voice making you feels ecstatic. That’s one of the best things Mari liked about Jinki, his speaking voice. Normally, singers would have different voice from their singing and speaking one. However, Jinki could talk like he’s serenading her.

“Looking fine, especially in the morning, Unnie” Joohyun welcomed her employer-slash-close friend.

“Who wouldn’t when you have Lee Jinki.”

“Tell me more, unnie.” She retorted sarcastically then gained a shrug from the older.

________

Morning came; Mari felt the tingly sensation inside her as soon as her eyes fluttered open. That day was their hundredth day as a couple and she’s looking forward to what JInki has planned for that day. But of course, so she won’t spoil the mood, she never told Jinki about it.

“What should I wear?” she woke up hours earlier than she usually does. Since she met Jinki, days was a never ending cycle of impressing her lover—or even from the day she felt something for him—

She sighed happily, fixed her fringe, and then finally closed the door behind her—feeling restless to meet her dearest Lee Jinki.

“Good morning, honey.” He greeted, as usual.

“Good morning, honey.” She echoed, accompanying a kiss on the cheek.

“How have you been?” He asked casually, starting the day. It made Mari feel anxious is some sense. There weren’t flowers, chocolates, balloons or anything of that sort. No surprises in general.

“Don’t ask me like you never saw me last night.” She chuckled lightly along with the statement, trying to hide her anxiety. “Like something could happen over a night.” Yeah, like date changes and today is supposed to be our hundredth day. She continued in her head.

“I’m curious about everything you do.” He shot back with a beam which made Mari feel lighter than she is—but still uneasy nevertheless— Tch, this guy really knows how to soften me.

Unsure of what to say or what to do—as she never expected things to turn out this way—she just tried to be as normal as she could. Maybe Jinki has something for her at the end of the day, or maybe in later in the café? Who knows?

“You look good today.” He complimented.

“You’re saying I don’t look good at normal days?” she raised her eyebrows at the sudden endearment.

He chortled lightly. “You’re gorgeous every day, I promise. There’s just something new today.” He eyed the lady beside him as the red light lit. She’s wearing a light floral dress accompanied with a brown leather jacket.

“Well, I just want to look special today.” She responded, emphasizing the word special.

Jinki shrugged. “Speaking of special.” Something rang the bell! Finally!

“I’m going to be on Taemin’s special stage today.” Mari sighed, loud enough for Jinki to notice.

“What’s wrong? You don’t want me to do it?” He turned to her in an instant then back to the road.

“Nothing! It’s nothing. I just remembered something.. sad

“What is it, honey? Are you alright?”

“It’s really nothing.” She received her cue when the car stopped. “I’m going now! See you later!” A kiss on the forehead and set of Goodbyes and an ‘I’ll watch the broadcast later’ was the end of their rather normal morning.

“What just happened?” she questioned herself, looking at the paper bag she was holding.

_________

Just as promised, Mari watched the special broadcast. Taemin and Jinki sat on a red high chair, set on the middle of the stage, singing a ballad from Taemin’s solo album. With a straight face, Mari stared blankly at the screen. Her mind keeps on wondering around, thinking when Jinki will realize it’s their 100th day anniversary today.

“It’s okay Unnie. It’s only the 100th anniversary. You’ll have 200th day, 300th day, 1000th day and so on, and so forth.” Joohyun soothed.

“No Joohyun. He didn’t forget, he cannot forget!” she raised her voice on the later statement, startling the younger.  She angrily stepped out of the counter, living her iPhone behind, and then went back to the kitchen, trying to work even if she obviously cannot concentrate.

“He won’t forget it, right?” She mutter to herself with a sigh.

A/N: I am back... I am back... I am back... Back back back back. Hahahahaha!
