You spent most of your time at the café. Since you had a neighbor restaurant owned by a superstar, your pastry shop also gained interest by the pass-byers. However, no matter how busy you are, the fact that Lee Jinki had your number didn’t slip your mind.

That thought made you smile unknowingly. It didn’t only bring you happiness but also anxiety and worry. The negative effect comes next; you couldn’t remove your phone from the pocket of your apron and constantly keeps on checking it from time to time just in case he asked how you were or something. Yes, you wish to be messaged by him but you didn’t want to text him first. Why? You just want to feel how it was to be remembered by him.

You were nothing special. You knew that. Maybe he asked your number because of courtesy? He’s an idol who is really good in manners. And yes, you searched up on him a bit.

You knew he had that weird condition in him. It made you curious though, his jokes were so funny for you. You could even remember your little conversations that night.

’07:26PM Slide to unlock’ were the only things you could see on your screen. Once again, you slid the phone from your pocket and started welcoming customers when you heard the bells at the door. “Anyeonghaseyo, welcome to-” your introductions were cut when you felt something vibrating on your pocket.

Of course it was your phone. On your excitement, you didn’t bother to entertain your new consumers anymore. You smiled from ear to ear when you saw the name who texted you. ‘Lee Jinki.’

“Joohyun-ah! Assist them.” You ordered your assistant and went at the kitchen, smiling and feeling happy.

‘Mari-ssi, it’s Jinki. How are you doing?’ it read.

Jonghyun thought of something mischievous. He knew that his hyung would scold him for doing this but it was for his own good. Jonghyun knowing Onew, he wouldn’t try to contact her unless it’s emergency or something. To be honest, it was hard for him to approach girls. Just like the Onew everyone knew, he’s shy and pure. He didn’t know which the right words to make girls happy. It’s hard to please girls, he knows it. And Jonghyun knew Onew couldn’t handle to do the job stated earlier.

He reached his hyung’s phone –without consent, of course—and unlocked the screen. Fortunate for him, Onew didn’t mind about the password or whatsoever.

With a smirk on his face, he did it. He sent her a message saying hi and asking how she was, which was replied to in a heartbeat. ‘Jinki-ssi. Anyeong. I’m fine. How are you?’

Jonghyun felt proud of his self. Not only that he made that move, but also to figure out that Mari is also interested in him. The way she replied so fast is just a good sign for him. He’s a Casanova, he knows girls of course.

Without wasting any minute, he replied to the message. ‘Glad to hear you’re doing well! It’s the same thing for me. By the way, are you free tonight? I actually have nothing to do after recording.’ He even invited her and it wasn’t even his phone. ‘This is only to help; I’m sorry Jinki-hyung.’ He thought inwardly, knowing he would say that later.

‘I’m free tonight, Jinki-ssi. Wae-yo(why)?’ was her reply.

Jjong was ready to reply to this message when he felt Jinki’s presence. “HYUNG!” he said hysterically, surprised and suspiciously. “Kim Jonghyun. What the hell are you holding?!” Jinki shouted. Terrified, the dino gave the phone to its rightful owner. Jinki sensed what he did so he immediately checked the messages.

“WHO GAVE YOU THE PERMISSION TO-“ he couldn’t even finish his sentence. He massaged his temples while Jjong begged for his forgiveness. “Hyuuuuuuung.” He chimed. “I can explain.”

“No you won’t . We’re calling Mari now and you have to confess to her that it was you!” he mandated. “WE CAN’T DO THAT HYUNG!” Jonghyun reached his phone away from him. In a speed of light, he explained “If you do that he will think that you’re playing with her and you’re not interested with her and it’s the end!”

Jinki plopped onto the couch and sighed. It’s totally a win or lose situation. Now that he comes to think of it, he had never promulgated anything for her. The first time they met, it was Mari who approached him. The second time, it was actually unintentional and it was the car who made the way. And this time, it’s Jonghyun. I guess it’s time for him to make a move and get closer to her.

Although he decided on that, he actually didn’t know what to do. He didn’t know how to approach a girl. Then again, he saw the only light in end the tunnel, the number one Casanova, Kim. Jong. Hyun. –Although it’s actually hurting his pride because he’s older and he should have more experience than him-

“I’m sorry Jjong. I just.. you know.. didn’t know what to do.” He sighed. “And to think that you helped me, it was my fault. I’m-“ he stepped back and checked on Jjong who was not listening to him.

“Message sent.” Was the only thing Jjong replied to him. He threw Jinki’s phone to him and said “Hyung! You have an appointment tonight. And I know, you’re not ready so I set the time 2 hours from now. You can do it, FIGHTING!” Jonghyun stormed out as he rapped his final words.

‘That kid, I thought he was SHINee’s lead singer. Why does it feel like he wants to be a rapper instead? Psh’ Jinki muttered at Jjong’s exit.

His phone vibrated signaling that there’s a new message. ‘I get it. I’ll wait for you then.’ Mari replied.

 “KIM-JONG-HYUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Jinki exploded.
