Isabella wasn't much of a big fan of being in a crowd but here she was in the crowd cheering on the cheerleaders.
Isabella was glancing at the football team every once in a while trying to see Tim. He had been avoiding her for some reason. Every time she tried going up to him he would turn the other way.
"Waste of friggin' time, huh?" A familiar voice said behind her. Isabella ignored him and kept looking ahead of her. "Look, I know you hate me right now, and I understand..."
Isabella scoffed. "I don't hate you, Tim." She turned to face him. "I'm just upset that you're ignoring me. Did I do something wrong?"
"It'd be a lot easier if I did hate me," Tim said as he ignored her last question.
Isabella grimaced at at smell of alcohol on him. "You're drinking this early in the morning? it's not even 7:00 and you can barely stand."
"I'm a bad person Isabella. You shouldn't be around me." Tim said taking another sip from his cup.
Isabella nods slightly a walks away from him to her family as the crowd starts to cheer.
"Didn't this 2000 championship team have a star quarterback?" The mayor said to them as the crowd yelled a yeah. They played a tape of an old game. "Ladies and gentlemen, all-region, all-district, all-state, Lucas "The Maneater" Mize!"
"Lucas Mize! Lucas Mize!" They all started to chant.
Later that night they were dancing, eating, and hanging out with each other. Right now Isabella was standing beside her mom and dad eating a hot dog.
"Well look who it is." Isabella turned around and looked at Lucas. "You've grown from the last time I saw you." Lucas went in for a side hug.
Isabella chuckled returning the hug. "People do tend to grow."
Lucas laughs a little before looking at Smash. "Hey, I'm Lucas Mize." He introduces himself holding a hand out to smash.
"Hey. Brian. But everybody around here calls me Smash."
