Outside on the patio stood Isabella with Lyla and three other girls Isabella didn't know. Lyla had seen her early standing in the kitchen after Julie had left her.
Julie had wanted to come to the party but her mom made her go with Julie so she wouldn't be alone. Isabella was leaning against the wall with a cup full of soda.
"Tim Riggins has been gawking at us all night." A girl said making all of them look over. Isabella made eye contact with him, looking away quickly but still feeling his gaze on her.
"I don't think he's..." Isabella started trying to change the subject.
"I always suspected he was into me." The girl said with a smile, Lyla looked over at Isabella seeing her eyebrows pulled together which made her frown.
"Oh?" Lyla mumbled confused looking back towards the girl.
"Word on the street is he dumped Tyra." The other girl stated.

"Now, everybody knows that the Dillon Panthers and the Arnett Mead Tigers have been rivals for a long time," Rodell spoke on the TV as Isabella was sitting at the table while finishing her homework.
Isabella closed her eyes in pain as she felt her headache come back.
"Honey, when are you going to be able to get home on Friday? What time?" Her mom asked as she walked in.
"Friday, we've got a scrimmage."Her dad answered. "So I don't know. It'll end when it ends."
Julie tosses her plate into the sink making Isabella jump from the loud noise.
