Chapter Twelve- The Battle Rages On

Third Person POV-

As the Cullens and their witnesses clash with the Volturi guard everyone targeted someone. Jane watched in amusement at the growing battle, before she noticed Jasper fighting Demetri. As Jane tried using her power on him, Bella noticed and shields Jasper. Realizing her power wasn't working, Jane cast her gaze onto Bella, knowing as long as she was focused, Jane was powerless. Alec noticing his sister's distress, ran at Bella tackling her to the ground, breaking Bella's focus, Jane now smirked looking back at Jasper, who fell to his knees in pain. Her smirk only grew when Felix and Demetri kill him by taking his head clean off. Hazel let out a scream so heartbreaking as she watched the scene unfold in front of her. She turned her now hateful glare at Jane using her power on her. Meanwhile in the woods, Jake was trying to get the girls as far away from the battle as possible. Rosemary looked behind and saw a guard not very far away. "Nessie!" Renesmee looked behind them and glued her eyes to the guard, following their movements with her eyes. Back at the battle, Seth had just killed a guard but sadly landed in front of Jane, who used her power on him. Backing up in pain Seth didn't notice Felix come up behind him. Felix picked Seth up, and crushed his body, then he dropped Seth. Leah seeing her brother's death, let out a howl telling the pack their youngest member was dead. Emmett had just taken down one of the lower guards and looked up at Alec. The two of them ran at each other, but Emmett grabbed Alec by his neck and slammed him into the ground. He held Alec down until he ripped his body off, throwing it behind him. Jane watched in horror, thinking her twin was now dead, not noticing Hazel escaping the guards holding her until she was charging right for Jane. Jane scared, tried using her power on Hazel, but it didn't work, because Bella was shielding Hazel, and this time Alec wasn't here to stop her. As Hazel got closer to Jane, Jane decided to make a run for it, but kept looking back at Hazel. When she turned around Alice had a tight grip on her throat, then threw her at Hazel. Hazel then dragged Jane to a waiting Sam Uley, who gladly bit Jane's head off. Aro now seeing his greatest defense is dead, threw his cape down in an immature way, but his enemy's victory was short lived, because they were losing. Benjamin took a moment to look around them and see they were in fact losing. Using his gift Benjamin raised his fists in the air and caused the ground to split in half when he brought his fists down. Bella took the opportunity and threw the guard who was holding her into the crack in the earth. Esme, however, wasn't as lucky as her daughter in law. Both Esme and the guard attacking her fell in, but Esme managed to hold on with the guard holding onto her. Leah seeing this quickly ran over and jumped on the guard holding Esme down pulling him off with her. Both of them died when they fell into the magma below them. Esme took a moment to cry for Leah, they might not have been friends, but Esme still cared for her. in her eyes no one like Leah should have a death like that. Not far from Esme, Edward was fighting Demetri and was close to killing him. Until the ground below them shook and they lost balance. In the confusion, Demetri let go of Edward who fell into the crack. Bella watched powerless, as the one person she loved more than her daughters was gone. Smirking smugly, Demetri turned around and was going to walk away, until Edward came shooting out of the crack and at Demetri. Doing a back flip Edward grabbed Demetri's head pulling it right off. A few minutes ago, back with Jacob and the twins, Jake had heard Leah's howl at Seth's death, as Jake spaced out, the twins noticed they could no longer see the vampire behind them. "Jacob!" they both cried repeatedly as they looked around scared. Rosemary looking up saw the vampire about to jump on them, "Guys look out!" she screamed in warning, but before Jake could react, another vampire came and tackled the other. Jake stopped and watched as the vampires fought each other, he was trying to figure out how to help since they were too close, but soon the other vampire who was trying to attack them lost their head. Turning around, Jake recognized the vampire who helped them as, Alec Volturi.

Earlier-

Alec had just tackled Bella to the ground, and watched as Emmett Cullen killed another guard. His plan was working, he noticed Emmett Cullen killed one more guard who Jane was looking at with horror for some reason. Looking at Jane one last time, Alec somehow managed to slip away from the battle, he was going to make sure he killed the vampire that went after his mate.

Now-

Backing up in a warning type of way, Jake let out a growl at the Volturi guard. Alec held his hands up in defense, showing he wasn't going to hurt them. "I wouldn't have killed one of my own if I wasn't on your side." Jake backed down a little in thought, why would Alec kill a fellow guard member if he wasn't on their side, it didn't add up. "Plus, you and I have something in common, we both want to protect our little mates." Jacob looked up at Alec in shock, not believing he was Rosemary's mate. Not until he saw the same look Edward gave Bella all the time, the same look Jake gives Renesmee when she's around one of the other vampires. The look you only get when your completely in love with someone and are willing to die for them to live. Jake walked up to Alec and nudged his side looking at his back behind Rosemary. "Wait, you want me to get on your back?" Jake just glared at him as if saying 'there's no time, so just get on,' Alec hopped on behind Rosemary as Jake started to run deeper into the woods.
