I was woken up early by the faint sound of FTOSF coming from my phone. I picked it up and stared at the screen tiredly, and answered the call. "Hello?"
"Hi, Francesca, sorry for bothering you at 5 in the morning, but there's been something racing round my mind all night. I'm in a trailer with my name on, bout 5 minutes away from you, I think."
"Aight, give me a few minutes and I'll be on my way. Tryna not to wake Matt up now, still knackered." I slipped on my boots and jacket, and stepped outside of the tent, closing the zip quietly behind me.
I saw some trailers gathered together, and found Amy's soon enough, knocking on the door. She opened it and invited me in. It was quite lavish, to be fair. I sat down on the sofa, and she lounged next to me. "Here's my question Fran... are you and Alex dating?" I burst out laughing, but it came out quite awkward.
"Nah, Amy, we're not." She could tell I was uncomfortable. "You have a thing for him, don't ya?" I nodded my head, and fell back laughing. I'd known her for only 2 days, but she could read me like a magazine.
"I thought so. You looked really nervous when he put his arm around ya, and I knew it just wasn't being in front of a crowd that did it." She paused. "Does he know?" I shook my head.
"I've had a thing for him for ages, since I was like 12, but that would've been fucking weird." We laughed and she sipped a glass, which looked like vodka. "How old are you now, then?" She asked. "I'm 16, birthday was end of January. And Alex is 21, birthday's start of January." She nodded her head. "You gonna ask him out any time soon?"
"I don't know, Amy. I don't know if he's dating anyone at the moment, seems quite private bout his love life, never mentioned it before, and him and Matt have been friends since they were 5, so known him me whole life."
"There's no risk in it, but of course, heartbreak is always a possibility. Just be careful."
"Thanks, Ames. You're the best." I hugged her tight, and we talked for the next few hours. I went to look at my phone to see what the time was, but it had died. "Shit, me phone's died. What time is it, Amy?"
"Uh, 8:45."
"Shit, Matt's gonna kill me. I need to go." I thanked her and ran out of the trailer. I'd lost where I was meant to go. The trailer was further away than I thought. I stumbled around for a few minutes, trying to find my way back, and panicking. Then, I heard my name being called. I spun around, trying to find who, and I locked eyes with Alex. He jogged up to me as I walked toward him. He took my hands in his and looked up at me, then bringing me into a tight hug. I was slightly confused.
"Fuck, Fran, where have you been? We've been looking all around for ya for an hour."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Amy phoned me, I went to her trailer, lost track of time, and my fucking phone died. Is Matt ok?"
"No, scared to shit. Thinks he's lost ya." I internally punched myself for doing this to him and tears started to flow. Alex pulled back from me, and wiped my tears, smiling at me. "Hey, it's alright now. We've got ya, let's go back." And put his arm around my waist, and walked back to our tents.
"Oi, Helders, get out here now, actually all of ya, now! Come on!" I saw the tent door open and 3 people come out. Matt saw me straight away, and rushed towards me, almost sucking the life out of me. I saw his eyes, he'd been crying. I felt terrible. "Don't ever fucking do that again, Frankie." He pulled back, and I started to cry again.
"I'm so so sorry, Matt, honestly. I didn't mean to worry any of ya. I went to go and see Amy, my phone died... Oh my god. I feel terrible." I went around and apologized to them all, and we went to breakfast. There was one thing that kept me happy: Amy was performing tonight, and we'd got special tickets for the very front. I couldn't wait."Come on, ya idiots! Can't be late for Amy!" I dragged Matt out of the tent and kicked the other one, telling them to hurry up. I was dressed in my black wellies, pink summer dress, and daisies intertwined in my long brown hair. When they were ready, I dragged them all along, winding through large groups of people.
I heard 'sorry' from the boys behind multiple times, until we arrived at the front of the stage. I saw Amy by the stairs, smoking a cig, and waved to her. She came up to the front, and hugged me. "Excited for the show?"
"Like fuck I am!" And we shared a laugh. She offered me her cig, and I shook my head. "Not old enough yet, sorry!" She nodded her head, and went back as someone called her for a backstage soundcheck. And soon it was time.
She came onto the stage, cheers ringing out all around, and went straight into the songs. And by god, she knew how to put on a show. Before her encore, she gave a message to everyone. "I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone for coming out here and supporting me, and also to someone very special in this crowd." She turned to face me, and I blushed.
"You will have most certainly seen her a lot this Glastonbury, due to The Fratellis and Arctic Monkeys. I've become very good friends with her, and she is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. The boys are lucky to have her. Thank you, Francesca Helders." The cameras panned to me and everyone cheered. I'd certainly become the star of the show here. Amy blew me a kiss, "Love ya, girl." And began the encore. At the end, I was in tears, my head buried into Matt's neck, rocking me gently. She was absolutely amazing, and I never wanted to lose her.

The tents had been packed up, and we were currently on another 10 hour drive back home, and for 3 hours of that, I called Amy. Never did I think I'd been friends with someone so sweet, let alone one of my idols. I missed her as soon as we had said goodbye. There were lots of tears, and our friendship and bond was undeniable.

The boys continued their tour until the end of 2007, and were ecstatic and tired when they arrived back home. All of their families and us greeted them. The boys then parted ways for now, and went back to our respective homes for some much needed rest.
