Diana POV
"Status log 94. I am not alone in here. Although everyone on the Luna Nova space station is dead, it doesn't mean I am the only thing alive. End of log. If anyone finds this, escape while you still can."
"Diana, you don't need to make a 'status log' every time you play," Akko's giggles echoed in my ear, breaking the tension of the game.
"It helps me feel immersed, I do better," I grumbled, trying to focus as I fidgeted in her lap.
The elevator doors creaked open, revealing darkness. A figure moved in the distance, sending shivers down my spine.
"Hello?" I called out cautiously. The figure retreated as I aimed my character's gun at it. "Uh, hello?" I cautiously moved closer. "Is someone there?" Peeking around a corner, I aimed down the sight for a better view. "Hey, hey, come back!" I yelled, chasing after the elusive figure.
As it darted up a ramp and vanished into a vent, I frantically shot at it. "Come back here!" I continued firing as it climbed into the vent. "No, you're the monster!" With determination, I dove into the vent in hot pursuit. "You don't get to run from me! Come back here and scare me!" I shouted, adrenaline pumping.
"Woah Diana, it's just a game," Akko playfully reminded me, attempting to calm my fervor.
"I know it's a game! It's a horror game! The monsters are meant to scare me!" I retorted, caught up in the thrill. "Get back here, you scaredy cat!" I finally caught up to the monster and swiftly took it down. "Yeah! That's what you get for running, bi-" Akko's hand covered my mouth, cutting off my triumphant taunt.
"Diana, what have I taught you about swearing?" Akko scolded gently, her voice filled with amusement.
