Crafting a bond

Diana POV

Recently, my friends Barbara and Hannah recommended 'Minecraft' to me. I have put off playing it as a game will get in the way of my studies. But... a little game won't hurt right?

Starting up my computer, I wasn't expecting much of 'Minecraft' so with low hopes I double clicked the icon to start playing. Instead of the game it took me to a launcher of some kind with a large image of Minecraft in the background. The 'Play' button was big and green so it stood out against the black background. Pressing the button took me to a different launcher. However, this one said I needed to create an account to start. I don't have any idea on how to because my parents set up all my accounts.

I called Hannah to see if she can help set one up.
"Come Hannah pick up I've called 3 times already"
"Hello"
"Finally. Hello Hannah, could you help me set up a Minecraft account"
"Yeah sure, what stage are you one?"
"Stage?"
"Is it asking for an email?"
"Yes"
"Do you have one?"
"Yes"
"Type it in and press enter"
I typed in my email and pressed the enter key.
"What now?"
"Your password"
I put in my password and pressed enter.
"What now?"
"Now you're on the fun part. You get to choose your name"
"That's it?"
"Yep. Anything you want"
I didn't really know what to name myself. The only thing that came into my head was a name my brother would call me whenever we played in the garden: Cabbage Warrior. Yes it was a stupid name, but it was the only one I could think of.
"Done"
"What did you call yourself?"
"C-cabbagewarrior"
"Nice. So now you're technically done. Do you want to do a single player world or play with us?"
"Can I play with you?"
"Yes, are you on the title screen?"
"No it's loading. Oh it's up"
"Right. Click multiplayer"
I clicked multiplayer.
"Yep"
"Click add server"
I clicked add server.
"Yep"
"Now. Don't bother about the name you can change it later if you want. Where it says 'ip address' you want to put: play.serverfun.com"
"Play.serverfun.com. Got it"
(If that actually works don't blame me it just came into my head)(if it works don't play unless it's a server like hypixel)
"Click done, click on it and click play"

Hannah POV

Cabbagewarrior has joined the game

(Hannahcakes) it's Diana

"Stay where you are, I'll come get you," I assured Diana before ending the call. Heading towards the settlement we had built near spawn, I spotted Diana's character scanning the surroundings.

"Dianaaaaa," I called out excitedly. Thanks to the proximity chat mod we had installed, our voices carried through the game, adding to the immersive experience.

"Hello? Is this thing on?" Diana's voice echoed in the virtual world.

"Yes, it is. I can hear you," I responded, my voice reaching her character in the game.

As I approached Diana, I could see her virtual avatar turning toward me, a look of curiosity and anticipation in her character's eyes.

"Diana, welcome to our world! How does it feel to finally be a Cabbage Warrior?" I teased, knowing that she had chosen that unique name for herself.

Diana chuckled, her character mirroring her amusement as she replied, "It's... interesting. I never thought I'd be roaming around as a Cabbage Warrior."

"Well, get ready for an adventure like no other. We have so much to show you," I exclaimed, leading her towards our settlement where our friends had gathered to welcome her.

As we walked through the vibrant virtual landscape, I explained the basics of the game to Diana, pointing out important landmarks and sharing tips to help her navigate the world of 'Minecraft.'
