I stretched out on the back of Dewdrop's tack trunk and sighed. We were all waiting for Mr.Lou and the other coaches to post the team rosters.Everyone kept coming up to me saying I was a shoo in for Elite Gold but I kept telling them I dont know. "Little tired,eh..." a voice said next to my ear causing me to jump. The boy I had seen on the steps near my dorm was now perched on the tack trunk. "Yeah, you a rider?" I asked tentavily. "Yeah, I rode for the Advanced team last year and had my Elite audition a few days ago,"the stranger said,"My name is Evan by the way". "My names Brianna." I said blushing as he brushed a lock of hair from my face.
A few minutes later....
Evan and I stood crowded along with everyone else looking to get a look at the team rosters.
ELITE GOLD ROSTER...
Evan Longstreet
Alexandra Garrison
Maci Adams
Christina Hula
ELITE GOLD CAPTAIN...
Brianna Wilson
"Omg,Bri!"Alex exclaimed as she saw both our names on the roster. I drew in a deep breath as I contemplated the thought of me as captain and as a freshman to!
"That's good to know." a voice said from behind me.
"Evan... I didn't see you there." I said as a hint of a blush crept into my cheeks. "Well, captain, I will be seeing a lot more of you now." He said as he straightened the buttons on his riding jacket and stood up. As I watched Evan walk away a tall raven-haired girl stalk up to me,her striking blue eyes. " Stay away from Evan!" She said flipping a lock of hair from her face," In case you haven't noticed I have a crush on him to, and I happen to be a big deal around here." Her eyes kept staring at me until she backed away towards the tack room. "The name's Maci by the way." The girl cackled. "Oh brother" I thought as Maci disappeared from sight.
Evan's POV-
I had just walked away from the team rosters and had whirled around to face the new girl, Brianna Wilson. " Evan... I,uh didnt expect to see you there." she said nervously twisting  her hair. "Guess I will be seeing a lot more of you captain,eh." I said while flipping her a smile. I stood up straightening my show coat and walking down the aisle to where my gorgeous Arabian, Ginger, waited. "Do you think I have a shot Ging?" I asked scratching the mare while feeding her a sugar cube. She shook her mane at me and turned and lipped up some hay from her hay net. "I take that as a yes." I giggled slighty and turned and walked back to my dorm.
