Zakaria Knight:
It's not every day I let anyone point my own dagger at my throat, definitely not by a woman who seems like she wants to gauge my eyes out with them, yet here I stood taking in every inch of this beautiful creature. Her deep green eyes filled with gleam are slightly narrowed, as those taunting full lips turn into a smirk, my eyes linger at the beauty mark placed just an inch away from her cupid bow. Her brows raise slightly as a blush taints her olive toned cheeks at the heated look I send her, making her smirk falter slightly. Her face then morphs into a glare, she regards me as though I'm worthless of her time, like the crushed tomatoes on the Market floor.
Me. The future King of Reatha, was she suicidal or just a fool?
Curiosity fills me as does the scent of vanilla and cherries which refuse to leave my head. Who is this woman?
Some of my guards approach us each raising their own weapon, she doesn't react, continuing to watch for my reaction. Her confidence, her bravery it was surprising I have yet to see anyone in the Whole city of Reatha with half the courage she has. Though that didn't explain why I let her stand so close in my proximity, with my dagger. With just a click of my fingers, I am able to disarm this Green eyed being, but that wasn't a good idea. Better not show my powers to the People of this city, that was a promise I made long ago to the Queen. She distracted me with a few words, only a few words. Maybe you let her distract you. Nonsense, this lady- not lady no, temptress yes, lady no-knew how to work her weapons and her brain apparently unlike the other women in the city. Though, that excluded my mum but she was long gone.
The commoner didn't Kill my guard, did I still want to use him as an example on the people, yes, yes, I did. It was definitely because of the sudden Blood thirst I felt, though that was off my faults.
Did that make me a bad person, sure. Did I care? Absolutely not.Not when I learned that this world, this city, is like a rope that is wrapped around my neck and with every day its harder and harder for me to breathe. Count this interaction with the green-eyed lady as the first time in a long time I took a deep breath.
I don't stop myself from glaring at her, does she have a death wish my guards will kill her. I turn to my guards who are even closer to us, each with a weapon raised at the tigress, who still hasn't given up. They stared at the lady, some with hunger written in their eyes, others with hatred probably because she was a good fighter, better than most of my own guards.
I raise my hands commanding them no to move or else. If she wanted to kill me, she would have already. If Roman was here, he would have laughed at me for my out of character actions.
"But your Royal highness"- his words were cut off with the dark look from me. He was a fool to question my orders, he shall be given a consequence when we get back to the kingdom. No person in the City of Reatha had blatantly disobeyed my orders or disrespected me and lived to tell the tale. Apart from this woman, it seems.
The girl of mystery lets out a scoff, staring at me with a look of boredom. She certainly knew how to use a weapon, which makes me wonder who taught her to fight? Who taught this girl to hold her own, why did she even have to hold her own?
I leaned down aware of the dagger pinching deeper into my neck, "I'll give you this once, darling. Next time you point my own dagger at my neck, I won't be so kind,"
Her eyes fix me with a look of hatred as she digs the dagger slightly deeper, I'm sure my blood has tainted the weapon. She smiles, eyes dropping to the blood that slowly drips down my neck, a look of excitement flashing in her eyes. All I wanted at this moment was to frame her eyes staring at me filled with excitement, it had been a long time since anyone had stared at me with a look other than fear, hope and hate.
