The five new rookies of the LAPD sat around a table. Olives idea, so it was safe to say Aurelia had no interest in sitting there, but who knows.. Aurelia could have a soft spot for the party girl of the bunch. She was the only one who'd spoken to the girl in all the months of being there.

Aurelia was rather quiet of the group, she barely spoke unless she was spoken to. Not just at the academy, but also throughout life, as the rest of them would later learn.

Jackson was more on the louder side, which Aurelia didn't appreciate, but she liked him second to Olive (she'd never admit that). He was Olive's number one, and her sidekick. He was into men like Olive was into women, so it worked out perfectly.

Lucy was quieter too, but for some reason Aurelia couldn't bring herself to like the woman. Maybe it was the irritable cockiness to her or the way she eyed up John Nolan on the daily basis, she wasn't sure. And she didn't care to find out.

Speaking of John Nolan, whom was the eldest of them, he was like the dad. He had to keep his kids in check. Even though he rolls his eyes every time, just like now, when Olive begins to get up on the table and dancing. But he does eventually get her down, which proves the kind of man he is.
He is pretty good looking, Aurelia would give the woman beside her that.

Last but not least, the life of the party, Olive King. Again, the only one who has spoken to Aurelia, to this day. She was the only reason the raven haired girl was even out tonight. But they all got accepted to be rookies together at the Los Angeles police department, and she wasn't going to let Aurelia walk down the halls alone!

Aurelia holds back a smile as John stands to pull Olive off the table, a small chuckle slipping through when John starts asking Jackson for help.

"Oli," Lucy says in a sing-song voice.

Another reason Aurelia disliked her; she sang. All. The. Time.

She wasn't a hater to music, or anyone singing, for that matter. It was just that she did it in all her free time. It was like that was her only hobby.

Had she never tried drawing? Or reading?

"Lucy," Olive sang back, her butt now siting in the uncomfortable booth seat.

The two leaned across the table and grabbed each others hands and Aurelia scooted closer to Jackson, a tight lipped smile on her face as an apology.

"There's a woman eyeing you up," Jackson raises his brows suggestively and Lucy shrieks.

"That's just what I was about to say," Lucy smiles widely, a small glance going in John's direction.

"There's a lot of shrieking, and a lot of 'I don't caring' going on in my head, so how about another round?" John shrugs, scooting over once Olive let him out.

"Yes!" Olive threw her arms up excitedly. "Aurie, will you go with him? I don't want him to get lost."

Aurelia just nodded, gratefully moving out of the way to get out of that loud corner. Although it was really loud everywhere to her.

"..you having?" John looks at Aurelia and she is pulled back into the world.

"Hm?" Aurelia asked with furrowed brows, slightly scratching the back of her neck nervously.

"I said, what are you having?" John repeated himself, and Aurelia softened, because he didn't have that annoyed look in his eyes like most people when she asked them to repeat themselves.

"Just a beer," She spoke softly, and it took John aback the slightest bit. "What?"

"I've never heard you talk before," John laughs as he grabs three of the beers off the bar table, leaving Aurelia's beer and Olives fruity drink on the table for Aurelia.

Aurelia frowns and John tries to defend himself, "I didn't mean that in a bad way- I just- I just meant that you don't sound like what I imagined."

"Have you imagined what I sound like?" Aurelia asked jokingly.

"Nah," John shook his head as they neared the booth. "Let's not mention this conversation."

"That'd probably be best," A side of Aurelia's lips tilted up in a half smile, half frown.

"What do you think of her?" Olive snatched her drink out of Aurelia's hand, resting her chin on one of the woman's shoulders.

"She's okay," Aurelia shrugged nonchalantly.

"No, she's hot," Lucy corrected. "Also did you just talk? I thought Olive was lying."

"I talk," Aurelia tried to explain. "Just not to you."

Jackson and Olive laugh slightly, and even John gets a kick out of the girls comeback.

"But really," Olive spoke over the music. "For me. How cute is she?"

"She's been eyeing you up all night," John noted. "I say go for it."

"Yeah?" Olive lifted an arm in the air and twirled around, taking a large sip of her beverage. "I'm gonna."

"How about you, Aurie, looking to get some tonight?" Olive wrapped her arms around the girls neck.

"No, I'm okay," Aurelia chuckled nervously.

"Okay," Olive danced around for a second. "Wish me luck, y'all!"

"You don't need it," The remaining four said in unison.

"How does she do it?" Jackson asked in amazement as he turns back to look at Aurelia and John - who were now sitting together.

"No clue," John sips on his beer. "A new one almost every night? Jeesh. I'd rather have the same woman every night."

Lucy blushes, and Aurelia pretends not to notice.

Aurelia watches as Olive's mystery woman fawns over the dirty blonde woman's cheesy pickup lines and takes her hand.

Olive stops by the table on her way out, grabbing her coat, "I'm heading out, Jack, don't wait up, darling."

"Oh, you know I won't," Jackson shakes his head with a laugh, watching as Olive sways her hips on the way out the door.

"Hey, just be grateful she didn't bring her back this time," Lucy says. "One time-"

"I've heard the story," Aurelia lifts her brows.

"Oh, okay."

"I should be heading out, too, it's no fun once Olive leaves," John grabs his coat off the back of the booth seat.

"I'll pretend that doesn't hurt my feelings," Jackson fakes hurt.

"You'll understand once you're old," John fake laughed.

Aurelia lets John out, and soon after Lucy is leaving. The black haired girl pretends not to notice the way John was lurking outside the bar door for Lucy.

"And then there were two," Jackson joked.

"So there were," Aurelia smiles the slightest bit, sipping the last of her beer. "What do you say? One more round?"

"One more," Jackson nods, getting up to come with her.

"We're gonna regret this tomorrow," Aurelia leans against the bar counter.

"Oh, well. At least we had fun," Jackson says.
