Chapter 1: Pretty like a star

The sky was still bright. Leaves colored in gold-orange color falling from the trees outside the school's grounds. Perhaps winter was coming? No.. it was still far away from that. It was just the start of autumn.. quite sad thinking how fast the summer passed. The sky was pretty, maybe it wasn't quiet as Amane could imagine during the vacation since he could hear kids or teenagers going crazy when it was late so Amane mostly stayed in his room.. Cozy and comfortable.

The boy was looking blankly out the window looking for something interesting outside as he noticed one leaf hitting the glass on the other side of the window.

Amane sighed deeply as he leaned his head on his palm sitting quietly in his chair not even bothering to notice the teacher giving a loud n Long speech about behaving during class time.
Soon he turned his head after few minutes of blind staring only to notice his friend, Kou talking with Mitsuba.. the two were really close. Amane could swear that The blonde and pink haired boys were together. Like Amane one time caught them holding hands or other times flirting. Damn.. the two were definitely more of a couple than most pairs in school. It made Amane quite lonely, he never really thought of having a lover since none girls or boys were really up to him.
The brunette was never in a relationship so he didn't know much about it. Well he did know something from Mitsuba's constant romance dramas he watched or read. Kou never seemed that interested in those stories but just for the sake of Mitsuba he would listen.. on the other hand, Amane mostly ignored Mitsuba for those parts and would just sit on his phone while the two other boys would continue having a conversation.

As Amane was about to turn his head back to the window Kou finally what felt like forever looked over at Amane.

"You should pay more attention or the teacher will yell at you again." Kou would say as Mitsuba chuckled next to him. Amane in response would just roll his eyes trying to come up with a good comeback.
"And you should stop talking to your boyfriend and instead write those notes the teacher asked you to" Amane said with a slight childish grin on his face seeing Kou's face as well as Mitsuba's turn beet red. The pink haired boy just looked away while Kou immediately glared at Amane.
"Oh shut up! Plus he ain't my boyfriend. Why both you and Yashiro senpai constantly say that?" Kou whispered-yelled still glaring but soon just rolled his eyes.

Amane didn't believe a word Kou said defending himself. Confusion before jealousy hit Amane.. Kou had so many friends. The shorter boy sighed, it must be so fun being so liked...

Class ended after what felt forever for Amane as he as quickly as he packed his stuff left the classroom not leaving any trace behind ignoring his surroundings. He would normally sit and eat his lunch in the library or sometimes with Kou and Mitsuba, but today Amane didn't feel like it.
His mind got filled with different things, from sad to random, overthinking like always and soon he tripped over someone who seemed to be also in a rush.
Amane hissed quietly due to the small scratch he got on his leg as the girl tried to help him out by lending him her hand for him to take

"Ah.. I'm sorry.. I wasn't watching where I was going my bad.." the girl said and scratched the back of her head looking at the boy.
Amane stood up and nodded at her statement before glancing at her. She was pretty..

"No no it's okay.. it's my fault I was the one who wasn't paying attention." Amane quickly said. He noticed that the girl before him was either the same height or slightly taller or maybe he was just going crazy from school considering the tests and everything going on. She didn't look like she was from this side of the school.. perhaps she was from the other side?.. yeah that would explain a lot.
Before Amane could say anything the girl just walked off leaving him once again alone. This time he just shrugged it off and continued his way to the library, now more aware of his surroundings.

When he got there he put his bag on the wooden floor of the library and went to the shelf to pick up a book to read. Sometimes he would be able to find something that would pay off his time of not socializing much with anybody.
Surprisingly he did find a good enough looking book. The short boy made his way to the table and sat on a chair that was the nearest one to the window. He moved his hand across the book feeling its texture as it was Rough or rather bumpy with a yellow colored paper stick to it. Amane opened the book before starting to read. The literature appeared to be either a mystery or horror genre which he liked as the cover had a monster drawn on it.

Lunch break passed by as The brunette was already on the fourth chapter reading the book with fascination written on his face and a small smile.
When he heard the bell ring his eyes widened as he quickly stood up and rushed to the isle to put the book back into its place before taking his bag and leaving the library. He wasn't worried about someone borrowing the book since it was rare when anyone actually enjoyed going to the library and borrowing books. Well maybe there were people who would make their way to the book filled place but only to make out with their partners as it's a perfect place considering the librarian not caring or never showing up to the place.

As Amane entered the class the teacher was absent. Amane was literally jumping on the inside, since it wasn't the first time Amane would be late to class..
There he noticed his friends talking to a girl.. she had her back towards Amane so the boy only saw her long cream color hair with teal ends and her uniform... She looked similar to the girl he bumped into..

Amane now slowly moving towards his seat to not disturb anyone, as the class was chatting, laughing with each other. Amane's seat was just In front of Kou's seat so as soon as the boy sat down the taller one immediately smiled and waved his hand towards Amane making the two next to him look at Amane who just got embarrassed.

"Hmm? So this is Amane boy you two were talking about?" Amane heard a female voice behind him that was now giggling. Kou quickly nodded but before he could say anything the girl continued.
"Oh yeah.. so it was him who I bumped into before? Ah.. embarrassing.." Nene said which made Mitsuba look at her with a teasing look and a smirk spotted all over his face as he put both his hands under his chin leaning on them and the table.
"Was it you who stumbled upon him or your big radish ankles?" Mitsuba said and continued smirking as Kou hit his head with his hand which made Mitsuba shudder and hiss a bit.
That was when Amane looked at the three with a confused look. He looked down at the girl's legs and noticed the leg warmers that were brown so he just looked at Mitsuba.
"I don't see anything? I think you just have schizophrenia, don't worry it happens." Amane shrugged his arms trying to annoy Mitsuba which he did.
Kou just rolled his eyes seeing Mitsuba glaring at Amane, Nene looking confused and Amane feeling proud.
"Right.. so.. you finally decided to show up? Okay Yashiro senpai, this is Amane. As you can see he's an emo kid who can be a pervert.." Kou looked happily at Nene with that sweet grin on his face as Mitsuba in response sighed looking at Kou with now a frown.
Amane glared at Kou and let out a mocking, annoyed laugh.
"Haha very funny. I'm not emo. And I'm definitely not a pervert, are you really starting to mistake me for Mitsuba? Really? If you haven't realized he's the emo one with that haircut! And the perverted definitely isn't me!" Amane said now getting annoyed just like Mitsuba did from Amane's remarks. Mitsuba glared right back at Amane for saying that so now Nene was laughing while the three began to bicker.
Suddenly Amane looked at Nene raising a brow
"And aren't you supposed to be in class? Since you are probably in high school?"
Nene just denied his question with her head before tilting it to the side.
"Not really.. Yako-san was declared absent today so the class just like yours is doing whatever they want." Nene shrugged just like Amane did before.

That's it! Gotta end this chapter sometime right? Also I wanted to add before anyone gets confused, the names I come up with for chapters aren't related to the content they have so the names just come up randomly.
