Shilo and Avery dance on the dance floor. A drink in one hand while they hold each other with the opposite hand. I sit at the bar alone with a beer in my hand.

The bartender hands me another beer, and I thank her. "You here with the party?" She asks.

"Yeah, I guess so. Birthday boy Liam over there. I don't really know any of them, though."

"They come here a lot. Liam and Kacey have been regulars since they were kids. Their dad used to come here a lot, too," she says softly.

I look to my right and see Liam walking up to us. The bartender smiles before walking away. "What do you want?" I ask before taking a drink from my beer.

"You looked lonely, and I can fix that," he shrugs.

"Well, I'm not. So go away," I roll my eyes.

"Why are you so angry with me? You don't even know me," Liam's eyes meet mine as he spoke.

"Because when a girl gets stood up, she doesn't take kindly to the man who did it. Plus, I wasn't even supposed to be here anyway," I roll my eyes again.

"I didn't stand you up! When the fuck were we supposed to go out?"

I turn to face him. "Look, it doesn't matter. It's over with. I ended up having a decent night alone."

Liam shakes his head before grabbing my hand and pulling me with him. I try to fight off his grip, but it's too strong. His grip on my wrist wasn't tight or hurtful, but I couldn't get his hand off me.

Once we get outside, I push him roughly, and his grip slips. "You fucking dick!" I push him again.

"Just stop! I never knew about any date, ok? I had no idea!"

"You couldn't have said that inside?" I spit as I roll my eyes.

He shakes his head. "Let me take you out right now?"

"No. It's your birthday. You should be inside with your friends. Getting drunk and fucking some blonde bimbo bitch!" I say shaking my head at him.

"Maybe I want to take a ride with you," he almost sounds like he's asking.

"Listen, I appreciate you trying to be a good guy, but I don't need the pity. I don't need the 'awe poor girl' got stood up' act. I don't really care. So again, happy birthday, but I'm good."

"I want to take you on a ride. It's not a pity ride or some boohoo bullshit. I just want to go for a ride. I felt suffocated in there, and I could tell you did too." He smiles weakly before saying, "I just got my Yamaha R1 from the shop today. I need a backpack?"

I let out a deep breath. "Fine. Let me grab my helmet."

I go inside, find Juliette, and say, "Hey, I'm gonna go for a ride. I'll be back!"

She nods, "Okay! Be safe!"

We give one another a kiss before I grab my helmet and leave. Liam smiles before shoving his helmet on his head. "Didn't know you ride a bike," he says as I fix my hair in the helmet.

"Do I look like I drive a fucking Prius?"

He laughs, "figured you'd drive a tiny baby car."

I stand next to him, his body towers over me. He's tall as fuck I realize before he climbs on the bike.

Liam kicks the passenger foot pegs out before I climb on the back of the bike. Resting the balls of my feet on the pegs and wrapping my arms around his waist. He starts the bike, and the engine grumbles loudly to life.

His muscles are taut as I wrap my arms around him. His breath hitches mid breathing. My skin buzzes, and I shake it off. It felt natural to be sitting on the back of his bike. It felt normal almost.

I smile before he takes off. The bike speeding out of the parking lot. As he gets down the street, I let go of him and put my arms out to the sides. Leaning my head back, I take a deep breath. The wind hitting my leather covered arms.

I wear bike gear most of the time. Or at least at night. Night time is the most dangerous for bikes. People don't pay attention, or they just don't care. I've crashed more than once, only during the nighttime. I wear a pair of black jeans and a long sleeve under my jacket. My gloved hands and combat boot covered feet.

Liam, on the other hand, wears a black T-shirt and a pair of black jeans. His black gloves cover his hands as he revs the bike, causing it to go faster. I smile and wrap my arms around him again.

He flicks his visor up, and I do, too. "Have you backpacked before?" He asks.

"No. I have my own bike. Backpacking isn't really necessary!"

He nods before putting his visor back down. As I put mine down, my hand slid down his chest. Before I realized it, my hand rested on his leg.

Instantly, I pull my hand back and put them in my lap. He turns his head and looks at me for a second before he grabs my hand and wraps it around him again. I shake my head and lean against him.

His scent fills the air around us as he passes cars on the street. Weaving back and forth between traffic as we reach high speeds.

The bike speeds and confidence courses through my veins. Without much thought, I rub my hands up and down his abs. I go back and forth slowly, dripping my hands slightly lower before we come to a stop light.

"Raelynn, I would stop if I were you!" He warns with a wicked look in his eyes.

"Why?" I ask innocently.

"Because if you don't I'm going to bend you over this fucking bike and fuck you until you can't see straight," he says. His warning felt more like a challenge.

The light turns green as I rub my hands over his jeans. My fingers are tracing the seams slowly. A low primal sounding groan leaves his lips before he takes a sharp turn into an empty parking garage. The bike speeds up each ramp as I continue to tease him through his jeans.

His body tenses so much it feels like he might pop like a balloon. My hands continue to explore his hard-on over his jeans. A smile plays at my lips when he stops the bike quickly as we reach the very top. The night sky sitting above us. The stars shine beautifully, and the full moon hangs high.
