Two days pass since Liam and I's little bike ride. I sit on my bed and stare at my phone screen. I stare holes into his contact. Our messages glared back at me.

The simple 'hello' to make sure the numbers are correct. Then the 'I made it home safe' before nothing followed.

I groan loudly before tossing my phone onto my bed. Forcing myself off the bed, I go into the kitchen. "What're you doing today?" Juliette asks from her spot on the couch. Her brown hair tied into a ponytail and a hoodie covering her body.

"I work later tonight, but not much other than that. You?" I ask as I open the fridge.

I take out a few things to make some lunch for us before she comes into the kitchen. "I work later too," she shrugs before helping me make a few sandwiches for us.

We eat tougher while watching our favorite tv show, Ghost Adventures.

My phone reads 4:00 pm before I decide to shower and get ready for work. I work in a strip club, but usually at night because it's busier. I make about two grand every night. Sometimes, more depends on business.

I get dressed in some leggings and a hoodie before grabbing my truck keys and heading out.

As I get into the nightclub, I head inside and change into a different outfit. I'm doing my makeup quickly and redoing my hair.

I smile as I step from the dressing room and onto the club floor. Tonight, I'm just waitressing, I still make great money on nights like this.

The shift passes quickly. Around seven pm I check my phone. Still no Liam. I stare at our messages and type out a message just saying a simple hey. Before sending it, I deleted it and put my phone down.

"I said I wouldn't call. Don't chase," I say to myself.

I continue on with my shift, and as I clock out, I check my phone again. I change quickly before heading back to Juliette and I's apartment. She won't be off until a little bit later, so I start on some dinner.

I make up some pasta. It finishes as Julie walks in the door. She smiles, "Honey, I'm home!"

"Darling! Dinner is ready now! Perfect timing!"

We joke back and forth for a second. As we eat, I tell her about what happened with Liam. How we left the bar together and had sex. She seemed super excited and screamed, "God! I knew you guys would hit it off!"

A giggle leaves her lips before I shrug, "Maybe not, though."

"Whatd you mean?"

"It's been almost three days and no text or call. He hasn't talked to me since he dropped me off," I shrug again.

"What? Maybe he's waiting for you to call?"

I shake my head, "Nah. I told him I don't chase men. I told him I won't call or text first. I don't do that. I'm not one of those girls!"

Juliette nods, "I know you aren't. Maybe you should, though? Maybe he should be the one who calls first."

I laugh weakly, "Not this time, Julie. I don't chase men. If he's not a good one, then he's not a good one."

We eat quietly and watch tv for the rest of the night. My phone dings, and I look to see a normal notification. No message.

I roll my eyes and put it down on the table.

Liam hasn't left my mind since I got off his bike. The feelings of his hands all over me. The sound of his voice. Everything about him has me trapped.

A sigh leaves my lips before I take a deep breath. "I'm gonna go to bed. I'm really tired," I say softly before getting off the couch.

"Goodnight, Rae!" Julie blows me a kiss.

I blow her a kiss back and say, "Good night."

Getting into bed, I sigh softly. I turn the tv on and stare at it, waiting for the dopamine to kick in.

A low sigh leaves my lips before I close my eyes for a moment. My phone dings, and I look to see an unknown number.

Unknown: Hey Raelynn!!

Me: Who is this?

Unknown: Avery! We met at Liam's party!

Me: Oh! Oh my god, yes, I remember! How'd you get my number?

Avery: Juliette gave it to me. Me and shilo are in town for a few weeks, and we wanted to see if you wanted to hang out, maybe?

Me: Oh! Uh- sure. I need a distraction anyway, lol...

Avery: Great! We're ready whenever, so just let me know?

Me: Give me about fifteen minutes, yeah?

Avery: Yes! Meet at the bar?

Me: Yep!

I get out of bed and go into the living room. Juliette still sits on the couch watching tv.

"Hey, Shilo and Avery want to hang out. Come with?" I smile brightly.

"Sure!"

I smile, "We're leaving in fifteen!"

We get ready and head to the bar.

Avery and Shilo sit at the bar already when we walk in. They both get up and hug both of us before we all sit down.

"So! How are you guys?" Shilo smiles.

Her dark brown hair falls down her back. It's long and beautiful. Her deep eyes meet mine for a moment. "Good. How are you guys?" I smile.

"Bored. The hotel is so boring," Shilo rolls her eyes slightly.

Shilo wore a pair of jeans with a baggy band tee. Avery dressed in a pair of leggings and a hoodie. Her hair short hair pulled into a ponytail, well what could be pulled back.

We sit and drink for a bit. Talking about bad breakups and things we like to do.

Avery and Shilo seem to be really great people. Both are funny and so much fun to be around. Juliette and I have found some new, really great friends.

"So how's Liam?" Julie asks.

I roll my eyes and give her a jab in the ribs.

"He's been good. I haven't talked to him much since his birthday! He disappeared toward the end of the night, though! Good thing we're in town for a bit. Otherwise, I'll would have beat his ass for not saying bye," Shilo smiles.

I let out a weak chuckle as Juliette looked over at me. She jabs my ribs, "You should call him!"

"You guys been hanging out?" Avery asks before sipping her drink.

"They fucked and now he hasn't called! Rae here won't call him because she's too proud and stubborn!"

I roll my eyes again, "I don't chase men that don't want me. That simple!"

Shilo agrees with me, "Period! Don't chase people!"

I smile as we go back to just chit chatting.
