Juliette and I get dressed for our favorite bands concert tonight. Kacey waits for us in my living room. Juliette pulls on a short white dress, and her iconic pair of white platform combat boots. Her makeup light, as usual, but no normal bow in her hair tonight. I pull on a pair of black ripped jeans and a white crop top white no bra underneath. I pull my leather jacket on and make sure my hair looks okay.

We leave for the concert. Kacey and Juliette are taking his bike while I take mine.

As we get to the arena, Kacey finds the parking spot. I see Liam's bike, and I look over at Juliette. "Really?" I say as i pull my helmet off.

She gives a sly smile, "Love you!"

"You guys suck!"

I roll my eyes and head to the entrance. I wasn't upset that he didn't call, I'm not one of those girls who cry over it. Am I going to be pissed off and let that be known to the people around me? Yes, but I'm not going to be a little bitch about it.

Liam leans against the white brick wall. A cigarette stuck between his lips as he allowed the smoke to consume around him. A black long-sleeve shirt hugs his arms tightly. A pair of black ripped jeans hug his legs.

"Raelynn!" He calls after me before I shove past him. I make my way inside the arena and allow security to scan my ticket.

Juliette, Kacey, and Liam follow behind me as I go to our designated area. The general admission gets us to the front of the stage.

"Rae, you okay?" Julie asks me softly. She rested her head on my shoulder as she spoke.

"I'm fine, Julie. I just don't understand why Liam has to be here. We had sex and he ghosted me after saying he wouldn't. I don't like liars. I don't care about having sex and not talking again. Like a one night stand is cool, but like don't fucking lie to me about it," I roll my eyes. I scoffed, "That is why I don't go out or hang out with people I don't know."

"I'm not sure what his excuse is or if it's even a valid one, but just ignore him. He and Kacey are brothers, so he's going to be around. I don't mean all the time, but ya know."

I nod, "I know, Julie! You're dating Kacey, and he's Kacey's brother. I can be civil enough for you guys. Doesn't mean I like him or will be nice."

She kisses my cheek, "I love you! I'm gonna get a drink. Do you want one?"

I shrug, "Yeah, might as well."

She walks away, and I take a deep breath. Liam stands next to me and says, "I didn't mean to ghost you."

I don't speak.

After about half an hour, the show starts. The band performs the best I've ever seen. Juliette and I jump and dance around. Screaming every word of every song at the top of our lungs.

As the show is about to end, they play just a few songs to close it off. I feel a hand on my waist, I think it's Liam, so I push the hand off of me. I turn to see my ex, Aero.

My blood runs cold, and my cheeks sink in. Anxiety runs high as he smiles at me. "I just knew you would be here tonight!" He says happily.

"Hi, Aero," I roll my eyes.

I spin back around and ignore him. Juliette spots him and hooks her arm around mine.

Aero wasn't a good guy. We broke up when he got arrested for assault and domestic. He beat me damn near to death a few years ago. I got over it, I'm good without him, but his presence still gives me anxiety.

The concert comes to an end, and Juliette goes with Kacey to his place. I head back to mine and take a quick shower.

I put on a pair of sweat pants and a cropped tank top before braiding my hair quickly. I brush my teeth as I hear the front door open. "Julie? I wasn't expecting you back till morning! Everything ok?" I call out of the bathroom.

If she stays at Kacey's, then she's not back till morning. She's never come back late at night.

I get no response, and my brows furrow. As I leave the bathroom to see why she was home, I see Aero standing in my kitchen. He stands facing away from me. His hands messed with the contents of my fridge.

"Aero get the fuck out of my apartment now!" I yell pointing to the door.

He turns around and looks at me. A smile spreads across his face. "Baby girl!" He giggles softly, "God have I missed you!"

"Get the fuck out!" I yell again.

He grabs a knife from the knife block and throws it at me. It hits the mirror behind me and gets stuck inside of the shattered glass. "You fucking crazy fuck! Get the fuck out!" I scream.

Aero pulls out a gun and lays it on the countertop. "I think I'll hang out for a bit," he says.

My blood runs cold as he starts to walk toward me. He grabs my hands and ties them together before dragging me into my bedroom. He ties my hands to the bars of my bed. Forcing them above my head as he walks out for a second. He comes back with a knife and his gun.

Aero's scent of dirt and overscented laundry detergent suffocates me. It fills my nose, causing me to gag.

He cuts my side open, causing me to cry out. "I've missed you, baby!" He whispers in my ear.

He starts to kiss my neck and down to my sweats. I kick him, and he punches me in the ribs. His fist collides with my face, causing my cheek to split open. Blood trickles down my face as a tear falls.

Aero bites my shoulder. Leaving his teeth marks in my skin.

I pull at the rope until it snaps. The super thin rope breaks easily before I kick him in the nuts. He falls back, and I hold his fallen knife in my hands.

Before I can do anything with it, he takes his gun and hits it against my knee. I fall, and he slams the gun into my head. Things go dark seconds later.
