Warnings: strong language, Liv and Josh try nitrous, Josh does NOT try to bang his mom, sexual innuendos
As soon as Josh and Liv had turned the corner onto the neighboring street by Kronish's house they stopped to catch their breath.
"Can I see the bag, Liv?" Josh panted, holding out his hand. Across the street, a lady walking her dog shot the two of them a nasty look. "Have a good day, lady." Josh called to her. He dug through the bag and paused. He dug through it again. He looked panicked as his face went pale. He knelt on the sidewalk, putting the bag down and rummaged through it again, pulling pieces of lingerie out.
"What's wrong?" Liv asked.
"...did you drop my clothes?" Josh asked, looking up at her.
"I don't remember." She whispered.
"...fuck."
The plan was to go to Josh's house and nab the gun that hung on the Futturman family kitchen wall. Josh pulled out a pink robe to try and cover up the lingerie. He contracted many weird looks and comments and they walked to his house. Josh didn't realize how far his house would be on foot from Kronish's. They eventually approached a gas station on the corner of a street.
"Can we stop at that 7/11 and try to get this makeup off?" Josh asked.Josh had Liv come into the family bathroom with him to get the makeup off. She scrubbed his lips and eyes with wet paper towels, giving him an apologetic smile at the sight of his miserable look. It worked well enough. They walked out of the bathroom together, and the teenage boy who worked the counter stared at them.
"It was a dare." Josh said in an annoyed voice. "Take a picture, it'll last longer."
"You and your boyfriend are weird." The boy said to Liv as they walked out the door. As the sliding door closed behind them, Josh and Liv looked at each other shyly, blushing.
"So..." Josh wrapped the robe tighter around him. "Are we going to address the elephant in the room?" He asked as they continued their trek.
"I guess we have to." Liv shoved her hands in her back pockets.
"So. We kissed."
"We did."
"And you like me."
"Yes."
"Can I ask how long you've liked me?" Josh asked.
"Since the day I met you." Liv admitted.
Josh stopped in his tracks. "Really?"
"Why is that so crazy?" Liv asked, giggling slightly at how shocked he seemed by that.
"I remember the day we met very well, and I went home and hoped you didn't think I was annoying." Josh laughed. "I went home and told my parents all about you."
"Yeah, I know, I think your mom brings it up every other time she sees me." Liv giggled.
"Since the day you met me you've liked me?" Josh asked, smiling widely.
"Yeah." Liv was grinning shyly. "Do...do you...?"
Josh blushed, realizing what she was asking. "Well, I asked to kiss you didn't I?" He looked back over at her. "I like you, Liv." Josh admitted out loud. And it wasn't scary. In fact he was so sure of it.
Liv paused, stopping in her tracks with a wide, goofy grin. Hearing it made her wonder if it was a dream. A dream she'd had before too. Maybe Wolf and Sigorn-E had been right, he wouldn't be weirded out if he knew. Her body coursed with adrenaline as she continued walking with him. "Really?"
