Part Twenty-Seven

The next time Harry woke up, he felt strange. His body was stiff, and his eyes were heavy. He forced the door open and looked around, spotting Severus and Tom sitting on a couch by the fire, but Lucius was nowhere in sight.

He pushed himself up on his elbows and grounded, drawing the other two's attention toward him. Tom stood quickly, rushing to his side, "You're awake," He exclaimed, helping Harry sit up properly. "How are you feeling?" He asked when the younger was comfortable.

"Fine, what happened?" Harry asked, his throat feeling scratchy.

Tom took a glass of water off the bedside table and handed it to him. Harry gulped it down and sighed at the cool feeling in his throat. "You and Lucius passed out after marking each other, and I felt the pain through the connection. At first, I didn't know what it was, but I figured it out. I got Severus, and we came here. We gave you some potions to relieve the pain and help you sleep." Tom told him, and Harry nodded.

"Where is he?" Harry asked, referring to his mate.

"We sent him to eat. He woke up a day ago, but he wouldn't leave your side and wouldn't eat. So we banished him until he ate, and Remus and Sirius watched him." Severus informed Harry, and Harry nodded before lying back and taking a deep breath.

"Harry, If you don't mind me asking, why did you guys mark each other? Didn't you know the amount of pain you'd be in?" Tom asked, and Harry shook his head.

"I didn't. Lucius explained it to me, but he didn't mention the pain. I think he forgot because of the situation. My veela marked him, and he panicked. He thought I would leave him, and it was the only way for me to prove I would." Harry said, looking at the two, "I would do it again if I had to." He finished, hearing footsteps coming down the hall, and looked over just as the door opened.

Lucius entered the room and smiled widely when he saw Harry awake. He rushed over to the bed and climbed on. He wrapped his arms around Harry and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry," he mumbled.

"It's fine. Are you ok?" Harry asked, and Lucius nodded.

After they sat there for a few minutes, a throat cleared, and they pulled back to look at the four other people in the room. "Not to be a party pooper, but while you guys were...you know, the four of us made a plan and set it in motion," Tom said, and Harry looked up at him in surprise before motioning for him to continue. "We did a few small raids in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade to draw attention, then we left Dumbledore a message saying we had you and if he wanted you back, he would meet us at the ministry in two days at noon. We will arrive at least an hour before in disguises, and when he arrives, we bind him. Severus will feed him the veritaserum. We will question him then and there. Bring his bad deeds forward and have him charged for what he has done," Tom explained, and Harry nodded thoughtfully.

"But what if he doesn't show up?" He asked.

"He will," Severus said, "He thinks I am still on his side of the war. He asked me to help him plan the attack there. He plans to turn up exactly twenty minutes before with the rest of the order so they can ambush you when you arrive and if we get there first. We can bind them all when they get there, and I will have enough veritaserum for all of them," He explained, and Harry nodded.

"Who is going?" Harry asked, wrapping his arms tighter around Lucius as the man shuffled against him.

"Me, Severus, Siri, Molly, Arthur, Tonks, Moody, Rom, Hermoine, Ginevra, and Minerva," Remus said.

"Alright, I think it's best to stay here for now. They might find out and track you if you keep traveling back and forth." Lucius suggested, and the others nodded.

After a few more minutes of discussion, the other four exited the room, leaving the two mates to themselves. "Thank you," Lucius said as the door closed behind the last person.

"For what?" Harry asked, confused.

"For giving me a chance to be your mate," The blonde replied, and Harry smiled at him before kissing his temple.

"Anything for you,"
