I woke up at 6 am to a call.

I sighed deeply and sat up. I took my phone off of the desk seeing it was Harlow calling.

"i need you to discuss something. get here."

He didn't wait for my response and just hung up.

These last 2 months he has been getting out of line.

Even for a drug lord/boss, to call your number 2 and speak like that....

I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower. Once I was ready to leave I sluggishly got into my car.

When I arrived I saw Kanji, Torinn, and Tarold

I was confused on why our two best hitters were here for just a quick something.

And Kanji...

Kanji was here.

He smiled at me and I held a smile back but still nodded.

Still not used to seeing his face so much, especially his smiling face.

I sat down in the empty chair and Harlow spoke.

"we're running a hit on Fivie's place."

Kanji says, "Fivie is..?"

Landon and Torrin eye each other and I squint. This would essentially be giving away the fact we have been trying to keep under wraps.

Harlow looked at me and nodded towards me. "Fivie is- was our plug. he was arrested on suspicion charges a month ago and they're finding everything and anything to keep him."

Unc continued after me, "and that is bad for business because they can't and won't sell anything while or after his trial."

Kanji hummed his eyes lingering on me but I kept my eyes on Harlow, "that's interesting.. what're we stealing?"

Harlow inhaled, "we're stealing everything he has. every single drug and every single penny."

Torinn spoke, "why is he here? i'm sure we can get this done with them."

Kanji agreed and Harlow said, "this is a truce yeah? i assume your people will help and we'll split it, let's say 70-30 on the product and 45-55 on the money."

Kanji was silent for a while. He looked at me and winked, "we'll go 60-40 product and 40-60 money. i like even numbers"

Harlow sighed and picked up his phone dialing a number, it ended in 8088. "Everyone leave. Li' Head and Mihty will plan then come up with the date. Torinn and Tarold take the week to research and plan your spots."

Tarold said, "Spots? We're not going in?"

"You'll see why once you check the place out."

Everyone stood up and we walked out. I held the door open for Kanji and we made our way out.

I was about to leave through the front door when Kanji grabbed my arm.

He blurted out, "you should come over."

I blinked twice, "huh?"

"for.. planning. you should.. come over"

I hadn't even realized that I did it but I smiled, "for... planning?"

He smiled back, and I felt some chest pain.

He walked up next to me and swiveled closely in front of me, "coming?"
