All I can remember before I zoned out was shouting from a distance of someone saying to Gally to 'get the fuck away from me' but my mind was to blank to figure out who it was.

All I could hear in my head was a ringing ,and my sight was going blurry ,I was having flashbacks before the maze . I felt like I was drowning and being stared at by a familiar face . A brunette boy who I thought I had seen before , but they wasn't in the maze , I couldn't remember anything else before this place .

As I snapped back to reality I saw a dirty blonde boy punch Gally around the face , it was newt of course . I turned myself around and immediately starting pushing my way through the crowd of sweaty teenage boys . I sprinted towards the maze wall , I knew I couldn't go into the maze as alby had said on day one I would be punished if so .

I had this feeling inside me like I jsut wanted to run , I broke down crying as I got to the large walls that trapped me in , it was like a prison .

I scraped my back along the walls cutting up my back as I sat down , I felt drained . I wanted to know who that was and why I recognised them and what they were doing to me and why they were staring at me but I couldn't think .

I decided to just cry and cry and cry until it stopped hurting .

*time skips a few hours*

I had fallen asleep , the pain had gone .

All of a sudden , I woke up to the sound of crunching leaves , it was dark and I couldn't see anthing so I grabbed a stick from the ground , thinking it was going to protect me .

I look up to see a tall figure staring at me , it was newt , of course it was , when was it not ever him .

He didn't say anything , he just stood there with a smile and handed me a soft blanket , he sat down next to me and put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer . I felt safe around him , a weird feeling in my stomach whenever he was around .

I snuggled my face into his neck and he wrapped the blanket around us both , I felt calm , relaxed . I hadn't felt like this while I've been in the glade .

Then it hit me , DO I HAVE A THING FOR NEWT?

he kissed my forehead as I dozed off into the night .
