The maze

As I woke up , I was so tired from last night running around chuck for hours . I needed to get out of bed , it was my first day as a runner today.

Minho knocked on my door "morning greenie, newts waiting for you at the doors , hurry up we ain't got all day ." He says in an annoying tone.

"Get out so I can get dressed then " I say throwing a piece of clothing at him . My face was buried in a pillow , I rolled myself out of bed and fell on the floor . I groan.

As I start to get up and put on my basic outfit of leggins and a shirt . I do my makeup and brush my hair and teeth before exiting . I spray some perfume I found in my crate when I came up (A simple vanilla scent) and leave .

Sprinting over to the group of runner ( newt , minho and Ben) I see alby there too .

"Hey y/n" they all say apart from newt .

"Y/n remember it's your first day as a runner , you must stay behind everyone and listen to everything  they say , the maze is a dangerous place" alby said making sure I understood .

I simply nod my head in agreement not wanting to listen to him but I knew I had to .

The floor starts the shake , the doors were opening . A wave of nervousness suddenly hit me . What was I doing ? I can't go in there?

I feel something brush against my hand, a warm feeling , something is grabbed my hand . It was newt . "It's okay my love, you're with me. I'm not going to let Anyone or anything touch you "

You smile looking up at him staring into his eyes . "Let's go " Minho calls from the front . You and newt follow along

*time skip a few hours*

"Alright guys were take a short break here " Minho calls .

I sit down in the corner of a dead end brushing my back against the wall as Ben chucks me a water bottle ; I was so thirsty, I finished most of the water in one go .

"Thirsty?" A British accent says standing in front of me . "Just a bit " I say looking up showing my water to him . He sits down next to me.

"How's your first day as a runner , you seem to enjoy running a lot so it seemed like a perfect role for you" newt asked

"I really like it , just wish I was allowed to do more instead of following mr athletic over there" I say pointing at Minho .

Newt just laughs at me giving me a look .

"What?!"

"What do you mean what" he says

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Like that?"

"Like what?" He says smiling a bit

"You're so annoying " I say looming away from him getting up but I get pulled back down .

"Your fun to wind up " he says smirking

I get up and walk over to Minho , "so are we going again?"

"Actually y/n we're going to start heading back now , it's getting dark and we lost track of time , doors will start shutting soon "

I roll my eyes and walk off into the maze following Ben and Minho , newt following behind .
