You're currently at the mall checking out the newest issue of Dungeon Lord, the last copy on the shelf.

"The Warlock of Narfoor's back? He just died", you murmur to yourself, "have some continuity". You shake your head in mild disappointment but of course you're still going to purchase the issue. You continue to browse the aisles of comics, checking out the Marvel and DC comics they have in stock.

"Where is it? It should be somewhere around here" you hear, looking over to where you were just standing is a tall, pale boy with dark swept hair thoroughly searching the shelves that the Dungeon Lord comics sat on display. "They can't all be gone can they?"

'He must be looking for the latest issue... the one i just picked up'. You look down at the comic in your hand, contemplating how much you really want it, before heading over and handing it to the boy.

"Here, you can have this one" you say.

"Really?!" He exclaims, surprised that a cute girl would be talking to him, let alone handing him ~HIS FAVOURITE COMIC SERIES~. "Are you sure, it looks like it's the last one, I wouldn't want deprive you of such mastery of vivid images and  onomatopoeia".

"Yeah, I'm sure. It is the last one but i'm happy to part with this issue, they seem to be having an issue of continuity of the storyline" you respond, chuckling a bit to yourself.

The cute boy - 'hold up, cute?' - furrowed his brows questioningly and gave the cover a better look, reading the title. "The Warlock of Narfoor's back? He just died!" He exclaimed, adorably passionate.

"I know, that's what i said! Almost as bad as Marvel constantly changing the limitations of Loki's powers throughout the Thor and Avenger's franchises" you say with a roll of your eyes, not noticing the look the boy gave you.

"You like Marvel?" he asked.

"Is Scarlet Witch the strongest Avenger? Of course I like Marvel!" You respond excitedly, glad to talk about one of your biggest interests.

"Ah finally, someone around here who appreciates the Marvel Universe", the boy starts before talking further, "my names Demetri, resident nerd and comic-book lover. Are you new here?"

"Yeah, my family just moved to The Valley. I'm Y/N".

"Well Y/N, if you ever need some advice or suggestions on comic books this place will be where to find me... or at Miyagi-Do".

"I might just take you up on that" you begin, "the comic book store offer, i have no idea what a Miyagi-Do is".

"Nevermind, it's not important. Is there anything else you like to read or watch?" Demetri asked.

"Umm besides Marvel i'm also a big fan of the Harry Potter series, Game of Thrones and the House of the Dragon" you answer.

"Marvel, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones AND the House of the Dragon" Demetri repeated in shock and awe, "a woman after my own heart" he continued, then seemed shocked at what he said and his cheeks turned pink.

You look down shyly, a blush coming to your own cheeks and look at him from under your lashes. "Yeah I love those series! I tell people i'm a Ravenclaw but i'm secretly a Slytherin... don't tell anyone" you whisper conspiratorially.

"Don't worry I tell people i'm a Ravenclaw too but i'm more of a Hufflepuff... your secret is safe with me" he whispered back. You look up at him and feel butterflies in your stomach, only now noticing the height difference between you two. You decide to take a leap and-

"Hey since i'm new to the area and don't have any friends yet, i don't suppose you'd want to hang out sometime and continue this conversation... or even watch some Harry Potter or Marvel movies together?"

He seemed surprised and took a few seconds to reply. You worry that maybe you were too forward and scared him off until, "y-yeah, that'd be cool. My schedule just so happens to have freed up a tonne so we can hang out whenever you're free really".

"I'd like that... how about tomorrow? You can give me your number and i'll message you later to organise a time?" You propose, handing your phone over for Demetri to input his details.

"It's a date" he said in a surprisingly confident voice, a dorky smile on his face as he put his number into your phone. "And-uh, thanks for the comic, i'll probably finish it today. I can give it to you tomorrow to read?"

"Sounds like a plan. I'll text you later Demetri?" You respond, stepping to make your way out of the comic store.

"Sure- text me!" He responds happily, causing you to blush and smile before completely turning and leaving, passing a few boys on your way out, the leader of the three having a vibrant red mohawk. Before you even leave the mall you send a text to Demetri and wait anxiously for a response.
