You walk into the electronic store with your laptop tucked under your arm. You look around and your eyes find a desk with a sign reading 'Services & Repairs'. Your laptop had decided to stop working, screen totally black, and just in time for school to be starting next week.

You walk to the counter and ring the bell resting on its surface to call for a worker. You wait a couple of minutes, foot tapping and look at your surroundings. The store was busy, you guess because it's the weekend before school starts. You turn back to the counter and suddenly a boy appears around your age with straight brown hair that stopped where the curve of his jawline started and the most charming smile you've ever seen.

"Hey how can I help you?" He greeted warmly, the smile never once faltering.

"Hi, um, my laptop stopped working and I really need it for school on Monday... do you think you guys can take a look at it and see if it can be fixed?" You asked, eyes imploring.

"Yeah sure, we can take a look. What seems to be the problem with it?" He asks.

"It was working fine then parts of the screen started to turn black and now it's just all not working. I've tried powering it down and turning it back on, restarting it and charging it." You explain, brows furrowed in annoyance. Your laptop wasn't even that old.

"I see, we've had quite a few problems with this model doing the same thing. If you want to leave it with us we can take a look and contact you with what we find and hopefully have it back to you for school", he explained, voice warm and genuine.

'He's really cute, and damn he has such a nice smile' you think to yourself before responding, "Yes please, that'd be great", you say gratefully, glad to have your laptop hopefully fixed quickly.

"Well if you wanna write down your details here, I can log the request with our technicians to give it a look" he explains, sliding a form and pen across to you. You fill out the details and give it back to the boy, watching as he takes the form and your laptop out of view.

'Well that was successful. Fast service, cute worker... hopefully they'll give me a call soon'.

Little did you know that was the last time you would see your laptop and you wouldn't be receiving any call about it... but it wasn't the last time you saw that boy.

~ One month later ~

You started at West Valley High almost a month ago now. You've become fast friends with Sam LaRusso and after school the two of you are seen hanging out together often. Sam has started to date a boy named Miguel, a nice guy who has apparently started taking karate lessons from Mr LaRusso's arch nemesis.

Right now you're sitting at the LaRusso dining table for dinner, helping yourself to another serving of spaghetti and garlic bread. Mr LaRusso tells Mrs LaRusso about a new young boy he's just hired at the dealership who was showing promise. Mr LaRusso has been 'teaching him Karate' in the form of wax on and wax off. 'Fingers crossed he's cute' you think, especially if he might be making an appearance sometime and had joined Miyagi-do.

~ The Next Day ~

You and Sam are relaxing on some sun chairs in the LaRusso backyard. You have your eyes closed beneath a pair of dark sunglasses, legs crossed at the ankles and reclined back in your chair. You are wearing a modest but hot one piece with a sheer black wrap skirt covering the tops of your thighs, and your skin looks like it's shimmering with the sunscreen you've evenly applied.

You have earbuds in playing (y/f/a) so you don't hear when a boy walks into the backyard and face-first into a set of wind chimes.

Sam hears and turns to face the boy who just made his presence known. You still haven't noticed that Sam had stood up until you faintly hear a voice through your earbuds.

"Sorry I was looking for Mr LaRusso, he's been training me back here in the dojo", a guys voice said.

Sam responds but you can't quite catch what she hears. You lean forward from your lounging position to peek around Sam, lifting your sunglasses to make out the boy better. It takes a moment to recognise him out of the uniform but you know EXACTLY who this is.

"YOU!" You shout, launching up from the chair, pointing a finger at the boy.

"Me?" He responds questioningly at the same time Sam asks, "Him?".

"Yes, YOU!" You yell, getting closer till you stand directly in front of him. You poke him in the centre of the chest, "YOU took my laptop at the electronic store and i never got a call about it, and when i asked they said they never received it or had a worker matching your description."

The boy had the gall to look ashamed, head down and rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment. Sam looked at you startled and turned back to the boy with a questioning expression.

"So what did you do? Pawn it, sell it for parts, or did you sell it to some clueless bastard who expected a fully-functioning laptop?" you ask, your voice getting more heated with each word that comes out of your mouth.

"I'm really sorry that I ever did that to you... I was going through a bit of a rough patch and was tight for money... and running with the wrong kind of people. But I promise i've changed, I even have an actual job working for Mr LaRusso." The boy explained, sounding genuinely apologetic.

"Yeah and you stole something that was gifted to me for my birthday... I was going to use that for school and it had some important documents on there" you continue, not wavering in your anger.

"I promise, i'll buy you a new one with the money from working for Mr LaRusso" the boy said with pleading eyes.

You think about it for a moment then nod, still suspicious of the boy though.

"I'm Samantha by the way, and this is my friend Y/N", Sam says, introducing the two of you to the boy.

"So you must be the daughter Mr LaRusso talks about all the time... I'm Robby", the boy responds, giving a kind smile to Sam and an apprehensive look to you.

Mr LaRusso suddenly enters the yard and sees that you are all acquainted. "Ah look at this, my current student and my former student... and Y/N... hi everyone. You know if you two wanna join us there's still time".

"We're actually heading to the mall soon... speaking of which, we should go get ready to go" Sam said, lightly grabbing your arm and leading you to her room.

"It was nice to meet you Sam and Y/N... and i meant what i offered" you hear Robby yell after you two. You look back over your shoulder and he gives you a genuine, apologetic smile. You give a very slight smile back, begrudgingly thinking 'he does seem pretty sorry... plus he's just as cute as I as remember'.

You and Sam get changed quickly in her room and she gives you a joking nudge, "already acquainted with the bad boy i see Y/N. He's pretty cute... i know he did a bad thing but he seems really sorry and said he'll replace your laptop".

"Yeah i did notice that.... both that he's cute and that he was sorry" you start, "hopefully the work your dad is doing training him will give home some discipline."

"Who knows, maybe you'll be seeing more of him around" Sam suggested, raising her browns up and down suggestively. You let out a giggle, shaking your head but thinking that you wouldn't mind if you did see more of him if he's changed.

You both finish getting ready and leave for the mall, your head swimming with Robby's smile.
