It has been several days since shit hit the fan. The boil has settled, and the two have gone their separate ways. His ex-girlfriend hasn't reached out. She learned that she finally crossed the last line with him. His heart is still so broken and sensitive, but now he can focus on healing.
With this empty void inside of him, he has been trying to find different ways to fill his time now. This alone time outside of work has given him the opportunity to try and figure out what he is experiencing. What 'she' may be...
Reasearch has led him down several ally ways of possibility. In ancient Greece, they spoke of beautiful sirens calling lonesome seamen to their deaths. She did beckon him by water. Once in the shower and then by the creek. Was she some old water spirit? He pondered on this idea, yet she never sang. And as far as he was aware, he was still alive. She was so odd... but also so entrancing.
Maybe she was a succubus? She did have glowing eyes. He also can't seem to remember seeing his cum after he was in the shower that first time. But at the same time... he wasn't scared of her. He felt so safe with her. No fear at all. He couldn't explain it. Or maybe was she something different? Something he was yet to understand?
He started keeping a journal about her and his ideas about her. Even though he isn't seeing her every day, he feels her presence constantly. He feels this extra set of eyes almost always on him. It may be creepy to some, but it was nice for him to feel like he wasn't alone. In this book, he had already made sections to keep himself organized. He felt he had no control over his life currently, but he definitely wanted to have a good grip on this situation and what's happening as nothing he has ever experienced can compare.
On the front of the book: "Her"
Section 1: "Visually"
This section includes everything he has understood about her appearance and what she has worn. Maybe if he sees something specific like a certain type of clothing or jewel, he can figure out where she came from.Section 2: "Vocally"
He has written down the things she has said to him that remain significant. "She wants to keep me safe." "She can help me." "She also degraded me in a way, but it wasn't hostile. It felt good." This section is more for him to understand her. To think back on what she has said and see if there is deeper meaning.Section 3: "Haunting"
She has this power over him he can already sense. He has scribbled down notes relating to how he feels as if he's being watched and has no privacy. How she has come to him in his home to feast off him and has also trapped him within the woods.Section 4: "Location"
He has drawn a rough map of the woods beside his house using Google Earth and his memory of the landscape. According to Google Earth, there are no water sources that connect on that property. However, there does seem to be one unnamed stream, but it doesn't match up to the location he believed to have stumbled across. In this map, he has drawn up where he guesstimates the abandoned house was placed. When looking at the land, it's almost impossible that someone would have been able to live there. And starting on the last page of the book and writing backward.
An unnumbered section: Him
Here, he journals about his experience. How she made him feel. What he thinks about her. How he feels about himself in regards to her. Currently, it is filled with confusion on many fronts. But he is starting to accept the fact that she is something different. He is in a new part of his life... experiencing pain he had never experienced before. Of course, there must be other things he hasn't encountered. Things just like her.He closed his notebook, looking at the word "Her" scribbled on the front. Suddenly, he got quick stabbing pains in his temple. When he squinted, his eyes shut in response, his synapses fired off rapidly. He began seeing flashes in his head of memories. It was like an old 1920s movie. Flashing frame by frame showing her walking up to the shower and then stepping in. Jumping ahead until she was on her knees beneath him.
He gasped for breath, and his eyes shot open. His heart was racing as he looked around the room. Empty. Looking back down at the book, he sighed and slumped in his chair. He ran his fingers thru his hair and then rested his hands in his lap. Relaxing for a moment before adjusting in the seat.
The book sat in front of him on the kitchen table... he just stared back at it. Must have been a weird coincidence? He shrugged it off and began walking upstairs. It had been a few days since she had come and he was just thinking about her and all her energy. It must be his subconscious playing tricks on him.
Once at his bedroom door, he opened and walked in. He made himself comfortable by sliding out of his shorts and laid on the bed just to relax for a while. He had work tomorrow and probably another hour and a half before he had to go to bed. Shirtless and half chubbed from the thoughts downstairs, he let out a deep sigh and decompressed on the mattress.
He had his legs spread comfortably and his hands beneath his head, relaxed. His body began to feel as if it was moving from side to side. Like he was on a raft in the middle of the ocean being drawn side to side by a current or shallow winds. Slowly, it began to spin until he felt like he was falling down into the ocean. He could breathe under the water, but the pressure was different. It was heavy but still comfortable.
This whole time, his eyes had been closed. He was content. He felt safe. But once again, she had him in her grasp.
