After a couple of days, todays the day. Shane is finally coming back from his trip. I decided to make him his favorite food and get him a couple of gifts as a "welcome home" present. It's kind of cringy but it's okay. Anything to make him happy. I finally hear a knock on the door. I smile as I open it, just to see Shane with another girl standing next to him. She was just a little bit taller than me, had black hair, and lots of makeup. But, she was really pretty.

"Who's this?" I say curiously, with a weak smile on my face.

"Wow, not even a hello?" He says, annoyed when the other girl chuckled.

"Hey, I'm Violet, nice to meet you," The other girl says smiling.

"I met her during the trip, and surprisingly she lives near us too. I thought you should meet her too," He says, smiling at her. Should I be worried about her?

"Well, it's nice to meet you Violet. You seem very sweet and pretty." I say smiling as she smiles back.

"Thanks." She says confidently.

A few hours later

Hours go by and, Violet is still at our apartment. We've been hanging out for hours and it's mostly been just Violet and Shane talking. I finally decided to speak up.

"So, Violet. I'm trying to get to know you more. Tell me a little about yourself," I smile weakly.

"Well, I'm actually a single mom. I'm 23. I'm single," She says, giggling at Shane. Okay, that makes it clear. I definitely should be worried.

"What about you, Aisha?" She says.

"I'm 19, still in college. I have a pretty boring life but I started dating Shane around like 3 weeks ago," I say.

"No, it's been like a week," He says. I raise my eyebrow at him.

"Babe, you don't keep count?"

"No, honestly, I don't really care," He laughs with Vira. My smile slowly fades away. That was...rude.

30 minutes later

Violet had finally left. I turn to Shane to have a serious conversation with him.

"Shane?" I say as he nods.

"What?"

"I don't really like Violet, I have a bad feeling about her,"

"Why? You always have a bad feeling about every girl I hang out with, can't I have some freedom?" He says, annoyed.

"Well, I've never hung out with other guys so I think you shouldn't be with another girl either," He glares at me now.

"I can do whatever you want, you can too. So, leave me the fuck alone. You don't control my life," He says as I look away from him. Should I really care? No. I shouldn't. But, if I'm gonna be honest, that hurt.
