The younger boy ends up pushing Taehyung's wheelchair up to the apartment. Taehyung insisted that he was still okay and could walk, but Jungkook told him it was better to let the boy sit until he tucked into bed. The sick boy didn't argue more and just sat in the wheelchair. He pressed the code for their apartment, and he saw his parents.

Kim's parents are waiting for the two men in the living room. They both looked at the front door when they heard movements. Happiness is visible in two boys faces, and they are still smiling while looking at Taehyung's parents.

"How's your night? You both look happy." Mrs. Kim is the one who talks to the boys. The two looked at each other. Mrs. Kim knotted his brows when he noticed that Jungkook's cheeks were dusted pink and his ears and neck were red. Tae and Kook told the parents about what they did in Lotte World. The parents checked Taehyung's vitals before they dismissed the two men.

"Take a rest, Son. You wash first."

Jungkook and Taehyung bowed at them and pushed Taehyung to his bedroom before assisting the elder to the bathroom to wash his body to remove dirt and possible bacteria that might infect and affect his immune system. He waited for the sick boy to be done, placed him in bed, and covered his body up until his chest.

"Thank you, Kook. I am very happy. You?" Jungkook is hesitant to talk to Taehyung, which was noticed by the elder.

"Hey. You're still embarrassed? Why?" Taehyung grinned at Jungkook, who covered his face with his two hands. Taehyung removed his hands and made him look at him.

"I said yes. Why are you still shy?" Taehyung tickled the younger's ears, which made Jungkook's face turn red.

"I don't know. I just feel shy. Don't laugh at me. I'm already embarrassed, Tae."

"Okay. Tell me the next activity on your list. Or show me the list, please." Taehyyng never saw Jungkook's wishlist. He didn't dare ask because Jungkook told him that he would only show Taehyung his wishes after the first wish. Jungkook handed him a paper that was folded at the lower part.

"I covered the last one. Do not open it unless the four above are done already. Okay?" Jungkook told Taehyung. The sick boy nodded at him, his eyes still focused on the paper. He smiled at the list and silently prayed he could make it until the younger's last wish.

My Wish List with Taehyung

1.) Go to the amusement park.

2.) Sing in Karaoke

3.) Get wasted, then watch the Harry Styles concert.

4.) Slow dancing under the rain

5.)--------

"Get wasted. Kook, I can't drink beer; it's bitter. I can't drink whiskey; I have low alcohol tolerance. I can't drink any alcoholic drinks; that would hurt my heart, baby."

"You won't drink alcohol, of course. You literally smell like alcohol." Jungkook received a punch on his chest that made him giggle. "You will drink non-alcoholic drinks. I will drink moderately." Taehyung nodded and looked at the list again.

"I remember Appa telling us we could do the remaining two wishes; which one was not included here? Of course the fifth one is out already."

"The slow dancing under the rain, Tae. I didn't show him that because I don't know if it will rain soon, or if it is, I don't think your parents will allow us to do that. You have a weak immune system, and you can't catch colds." The left brow of Taehyung rose with what Jungkook said.

"And who told you I am not allowed to enjoy the rain? I will catch colds if we stay too long under the rain. But one song is enough for us to dance, right?" Jungkook nodded. Taehyung giggled. "Then, we will slow dance under the rain, or maybe we end up romancing until the morning, what do you think?" Jungkook's face is dusted with pink again, and Taehyung is now laughing at the boy.

"You always make fun of me, Tae." Jungkook stood up and fixed Taehyung's duvet. "Get some rest. I'm leaving. See you tomorrow morning. And we'll make new memories again. You might forget me again." He kissed the elder's forehead, who smiled at him. They both stared at each other for a couple of minutes before Jungkook pulled away from Taehyung and went out.

"Jungkook?" Jungkook was startled when Taehyung's father called his name. He was on his way to find them to say goodbye, and it looks like the latter is waiting for him too.

"Hi, Mr. Kim." He bowed at the older man.

"Can I talk to you?"

"Sure, Mr. Kim." Taehyung's father turned his back and walked to the living room, where he sat on the couch. Jungkook sits on the other side, on the ride side of Mr. Kim.

"I already talked to Taehyung's doctor. And they will arrange his radiotherapy schedule in New York so he can still receive the therapy there. They will endorse his case to their partners, and you could fly on Friday night next week. I already bought our tickets and booked our hotel room." Mr. Kim started talking.

"Our? You're coming, Mr. Kim?" Jungkook's eyes are wide, and he was surprised with the good news.

"I decided that me and your Eomma will go with you and can't let you two fly on your own. You need our support and help in case something unexpected happens. So, the four of us will fly to New York to watch the Harry Styles concert." Jungkook stood up and hugged the older man, who tapped his back. "I also talked already to your hyung. He was here, and we talked over dinner. He was already informed about our departure."

"Mr. Kim! Thank you so much." He pulled out of the hug and bowed to Taehyung's father. They both sank down on the couch and talked more.

"I should be the one who feel grateful because of you, Son. I don't know how I could properly thank you for the things you're doing for our son. We've never seen him happy like that. Yes, he is a happy person, but he is differently happy tonight. Thank you for bringing out the best in our son, Jungkook. Taehyung never complains about things. He is always considerate and just accepts what he is receiving. But Taehyung never did anything for himself. He does things for us. To make us happy. He always told us that it was his responsibility, as our son, to make us happy. But I don't want him to die like that. Feeling obligated to be happy just for us. I want him to be happy for himself." Jungkook stared at Mr. Kim while talking. He realized the words that always slipped out of Taehyung's tongue: that the elder boy is happy and content. He means he is happy because his parents are happy. He made himself happy because that will make his parents happy. Taehyung is selfless for thinking that way.

"And I know that the wish list you made is his request for you—to make you happy. But Jungkook, as his father,  I know it does not end there. He wants to spend time with you while doing your wishes. He is happy now for you and for himself, and I am thankful to you for that." Jungkook smile. Seeing the laughing boy earlier was in the back of his mind. Taehyung was indeed very happy tonight.

"But." His smile faltered when Mr. Kim's face became serious. "Will you be okay? Knowing Taehyung's condition, will you still be alright at the end? I don't want you to attach yourself too much to my son. Please do it moderately for you not to end up hurting, Jungkook. I don't want you to get hurt. I treat you as my own son now." He still nodded despite his fear and doubt. He will take the risk for the sick boy.

But Jungkook thought he was prepared enough to accept this fact. He thought he was brave enough to see the older man close his eyes forever. But who will ever be prepared for your lover's death? Who was he kidding?
