"Mom, if I have a wish list, will you allow me and Jungkook to do it?" The wish list bothers Taehyung the whole Sunday night

"Mom, if I have a wish list, will you allow me and Jungkook to do it?" The wish list bothers Taehyung the whole Sunday night. Though, despite thinking about it, he really has no wish at all. Like he told Jungkook, he is already content with the things he has done so far. And he feels nothing is missing for him yet.

"It depends on the wish list. Why? You have a wish?" He shook his head. They were both in the dining area while his mother was preparing his breakfast.

"Nothing, Mom. Jungkook asked me last night about it, but I told him I have no wish. He told me that wish list is supposed to be done before people die. I think I am the only dying who has no wish anymore. I am okay with all the love and care you've given me, mom. I can't ask for more." His mother's eyes got teary, and he hugged his son.

"I don't know what I have done to have a kind son like you. Though I will disregard the thought of you dying. Not yet, baby. Okay? Appa and I will do our best to extend your life. By all means. As long as you're fighting, Eomma and Appa will fight also." Taehyung smiled at his mother and kissed the back of her hands.

"Just don't cry, mom, because of me. I don't want you to get hurt because I am leaving. Don't cry that day, Mom. I will tell you if it's too painful for me. I will tell you if I am tired of fighting already. But as long as my body can fight, I will fight. We will fight, Mom."

The morning for the Kim family was emotional this Monday. Mr. Kim saw his wife and son hugging each other, and he joined them. It was hard for the parents to watch their son get sick, body fails, and health gives up. We all know that kids are supposed to send their parents to the grave; parents should descend ahead of their children and not the other way around.

"The sun shines so bright. Let's keep going, my lovable wife and pretty son, who have bloomed these past few days." Mr. Kim joked around to make his family laugh. The mother and son laugh at him, and Taehyung's face is dusted with pink.

"Dad, please no." Taehyung pouted his lips and rolled his eyes at his father. The three of them finish their meals and get ready to leave their house for Taehyung's next radiotherapy session this week.

Taehyung's father is pushing his wheelchair, but he is hoping for Jungkook to show up. He used to see the boy every morning and assist him to the hospital. But Jungkook didn't come until they left Gangnam. He regrets not asking the younger boy's phone number, and the latter didn't ask his either. He wants to ignore how disappointed he is, but he also thought that Jungkook is a healthy man; he has his own life to run to, and he might be busy with something else.

They arrived at the hospital and went up to the radiotherapy room. He is looking at the elevator side, still hoping for Jungkook to arrive, and to assure him that it will be alright to forget him because he will be outside and will wait to introduce himself again. But the nurse came and pushed him inside the therapy room with no signs of Jungkook. He lay down under the machine and closed his eyes for another session.

20 minutes have passed, and Taehyung's mother prepared herself to greet his son. The therapy room opened, and his weak son soon revealed. He is leaning his head back and eyes are close. Every day, Mrs. Kim brought with her her strong heart to see his son on this estate. She always prays for more courage and strength to watch her son this weak and helpless.

Taehyung is so bubbly and lively. Before he got sick, he always ran around the hallway and the living room and kissed his parents happily every morning. He used to be that rascal kid who would insist on you doing things with him in an impossible way. But they like him for that. Everybody loves their Kim Taehyung.

His son is a good person; his son is the purest human being. He was too kind for the cruelty he was experiencing. But like Taehyung, Mrs. Kim never questions why this happened to him. Taehyung always reminds her that he is sick because he can handle it. Because they are fortunate enough to pay for his treatments. He is suffering not because he deserves it but because it is his fate not to live longer. Every night, she is engulfed by the darkness and cries in silence, fearing that her son may not wake up the next morning. She is scared of not seeing his son open his eyes again.

"Mom," Taehyung called her, and she snapped back to reality. She smiled widely at his son and told him he did great. Her son just smiled at her and hugged her.

"Where is Jungkook?" She froze when he heard him again. "Is he still not here?" Her tears betrayed him and she started crying.

"You remember him?" Taehyung nodded at him.

"I didn't forget anything now, Mom. Let's go to my doctor and tell him." Mrs. Kim bid goodbye to the radiographer and pushed his son to his doctor's clinic.

After the consultation, the Kim family went back home and put Taehyung in bed. His father left already to work after reassuring that his wife and son were already set, safe and sound. Taehyung grabbed the journal on his bedside table and started writing about what happened today.

He wrote down his weight for today and marked how many kilograms he had lost in just one week. He noticed his skin starting to discolor because of the side effects of the radiotherapy. He was about to write Jungkook's name when he felt severely nauseated. He grabbed the basin under his bed and vomited all the food he had eaten that morning.

His vision got blurry, and everything around him was spinning. He struggled and pressed the button on his bedside to get the attention of his mother. Soon he heard his bedroom's door swung open, and his mother was running towards him.

"Baby, it's okay. I got you." Her mother patted his back while he vomited. She brought with him the inhaler he needed to lessen his dizziness. When he stopped vomiting, his mother gave him a medicated gargle solution and put him back in a lying position.

It's too early to go to sleep, but his body is really tired after the therapy. He didn't lose his memory, but the other side effect attacked him now. He was still holding his pen on his left hand when he fell asleep. He had dozed off already when the doorbell rang.
