"When the Sun Set" by Faith No More

Nineteenth Sunset🌄

The flight is faster than usual, as Taehyung's father rented a private plane for his son. They were accompanied by one of his doctors and two nurses to ensure Taehyung could get medical assistance as soon as he needed it.

"My best friend will fetch us at the airport and drive us to the hotel. They will also join us to watch the concert tomorrow. We still have time to rest and walk around the streets," Taehyung told Jungkook a few hours before they landed. Jungkook was attentive to his needs and kept on asking him if he was okay. Luckily, Taehyung didn't catch a cold after dancing in the rain. They didn't even tell his parents about it; they will probably get scolded to death because Taehyung's immune system is so weak and he can easily acquire viruses. The last thing they wanted is his lungs and other vital organs to be affected.

"And you still have a few hours to sleep more. Get rest so you will have energy for tomorrow. Your parents are sleeping. Look," Jungkook pointed to Taehyung's parents on the other side of the plane. He stared at them for a while. Tiredness and age are painted on their faces. There are a few lines on his father's forehead, and both hands of his parents are starting to wrinkle. Their money cannot hide the sacrifices they have made for their son.

"Do you think it's worth it to fight for me? Do you think their sacrifices are worth it? I will still die no matter how many treatments I receive. We will still lose at the end even if we fight. Don't you think we are all just wasting our time and effort to make me live more knowing anytime now, I will be leaving." The sick boy whispered as low as possible. They thought that the parents were sleeping and could not hear them, so they continued talking.

"Everything they do for you is worth it. They are not wasting their time or money just to prolong your life. Baby, they are your parents; don't think that way. You will live longer. We will fight together. Don't say that. That will hurt them more." The younger boy whispered back and kissed the top of his head.

"Everything we do is worth it when it comes to you. Remember that, and don't lose hope. Hang onto me; I will always be right here for you." They both fall asleep again after a few strokes at each other's hands. They didn't know that while their eyes were close, Taehyung's parents looked at each other and cried silently. Mr. Kim tried his best to comfort his wife. This is the first time they heard their son losing hope.

Soon, they landed safely. Taehyung is looking around the waiting area, hoping to spot his best friend and his husband.

"Hyungie. I think that's your best friend. I don't know, but he has the same vibe as you. Playful and bubbly." He looked where Jungkook's finger was pointing and smiled.

"Jiminaaaaaah!" He shouted and waved his hand. The Jiminah he called looked at them. The boy is shorter than them; his skin is white, and his hair is pink. There is another boy standing beside him who looks bored and whiter than him, but they are both short. Jungkook laughed inside at how cute the couple was. One looks like a kid, while the other one looks like a grandpa.

"Taehyungaaah." Jimin ran towards Taehyung, he bowed to Taehyung's parents  and carried the sick boy before they spun around. "I miss you, Taehyungahhh." They are both laughing and caressing each other's faces. "Are you sure you're sick? While you're blooming? Your skin looks glowing, and your face is still pretty as ever." He ran his fingers to Taehyung's face, then cupped his cheeks. Jimin and Taehyung seem to forget about other people and walk ahead of them without looking back at the grumpy short grandpa, Taehyung's parents, or sulking Jungkook.

They were outside the airport when the best friends looked at them, and Jimin finally noticed him.

"You must be Jungkook? Taehyung always talks about you over the phone whenever I call him before he sleeps. I heard interesting things about you; some are naughty thoughts of him." Taehyung hit Jimin's shoulder but was ignored and continued talking to Jungkook.
