GUYS GUYS GUYS NOTES FROM THE QUEER IS UP JUST SO YOU KNOW

Nico pov (this is the day of the wedding!)

I sat with my eyes closed as Hazel continued to mess with my hair, pulling it this way and that.

"Nico, you need a haircut." I tilted my head back so I could stare at her.

"Tell me something I don't know," I whispered. My voice was still horribly scratchy, so I was still whispering. "I'm not going to let you cut it, though. I'm planning on learning how to braid it so me and Reyna can be braid buddies."

"Please tell me you're being sarcastic."

"Yes, but I'm still not letting you cut my hair."

"Too bad for you then." I heard the ominous sound of scissors and immediately started flailing about.

"No! Not my precious hair!" The door creaked open.

"Jason!" Hazel cried, obviously relieved. I twisted around. "Nico needs a haircut. Could you get him to stop moving for me?" Jason grinned when he saw my scowl.

"How am I supposed to do that? He's an eel, Hazel."

"I don't care. Sit on him if you must." I started kicking, hoping that Jason would get the message and leave my locks in peace.

No such luck.

"Okay." Jason strode towards me and pinned my legs down, then straddled my thighs. Ow.

"And his arms, please," Hazel said. Jason seized my hands and brought them down so they rested on his thighs.

"Better?" he asked.

"Yes, thank you," Hazel told him, the same time I whispered, "No. Not at all."

"Is getting your hair cut really that bad?" Jason pondered. I glared at him.

"No. It's the fact that you weigh more than Percy, who weighs more than Hazel, Annabeth and Piper combined, and your butt bones that are digging into my legs, and those horrid jeans that probably belong to Thalia."

"Ouch. And Percy isn't that much. And I'm not either."

"Try sitting on yourself. That might quash that theory."

"And I don't have butt bones."

"Try telling that to the bruises on my thighs."

"Do I hear a Fall Out Boy reference?" Reyna leaned on the doorframe, grinning coyly at us. "And Nico, how's your voice coming? We're planning on you singing for the wedding, wouldn't that be lovely?"

"No."

"Too bad. We'll just have to have Jason sit on you; clearly that method works well."

"Shut up."

"No."

"Guys, both of you shut up, how 'bout that?" Jason was tapping his fingers on my hand.

"Shutting up is not in my mental capacity, Grace," I told him, voice cracking every two syllables..

"What he said." I scowled at Reyna.

"Hey, your voice! It's better!" Jason was smiling.

"That hardly counts as better." I shifted, no longer able to feel my legs. "Stop eating so much, Jason."

"Stop eating is not in my mental capacity, Nico."

"Ugh!"
