As I was standing there with the most gorgeous girl in my arms, I couldn't help but stare.
Her hair, a beautiful dark brown mess, her skin, tanned from the sun. No flaws all perfection to her full lips, rounded face and big brown eyes.
Crap! I stared to long! She must think I am a total weirdo...
I put her down quietly, not to desturb the big dogs behind me. But when I tried to stand her on two feet, she almost fell again so I put her in a sitting position. And I crouched next to her.
"I will get you out of here. Don't worry " I wispered.
Then what she did next spooked me. She lightly put her hands o on my neck and whispered, "This... Is... Home..."
The way she said it... She had a low growl to it. I thought she was just kidding but she got on all fours, crawled towards me, cocked her head, and smelled every inch of my face.
After that little episode, she said in the growl,"What... Are... You?"
"A human... Aren't you one too?"
"What... A... Human... Is?" She said as she scrunched up her face.(which I found absolutely adorable.)
"It's just a species of animal."
She just looked at me weirdly and pointed to herself.
"I'm... Female... You?"
"Boy." I said. She looked very sad for some reason. I was going to ask why, but I heard a growl. I thought it was the wolfs but it turned out it was my stomach. I hadn't eaten anything. So I looked around. And there was a half eaten rabbit.
"Can I have that?" I asked, pointing at the rabbit.
"If I can have... Too?" She asked.
"Okay." And I picked it up and carried it over my shoulder.
I put my hand out and she cautiously took it.
I don't know her past but I do know she does not know how to walk like a human does... But who am I to judge. So I put my hands on her waist and she put her hand around my shoulder to hold on.
"I'll teach you how to walk like me if you teach me about your past." I offered.
"Yes..." She said. Leaning on me for support, we walked off into the direction I came from.
