'It's quiet.. Too quiet..'

I sighed to myself, looking around the dimmed lighted streets, not knowing where I'm going any longer as I huddled my arms for warmth.

My teeth clattered as I shivered, looking up at the moon far above my head illuminating it's glow onto my shivering body. The stomping footsteps of my bare feet hitting the concrete resonating around the empty streets.

I kept rubbing my arms for warmth while limping, looking bruised up from the last street fight I had with my so called 'best friend'.

'That good for nothing piece of garbage..' I grit my teeth, feeling anger bubbling up my chest whenever I think of them. 'I thought we were inseparable.. But that wench decides to break it all after we were friends for so long..'

I spotted an alleyway ahead- looking around me in caution before rushing into it. I let out heavy breaths before leaning against the alley wall next to the dumpster.

I slowly slid down the wall, sitting with my legs in front of me as I hovered my hand over my slashed leg. My vision was distorted with heavy breaths heaving out my mouth. I felt light headed before letting out a pained groan.

I learned my head against the wall, looking up at the moon that shone above me, looking as if it was mocking my misfortune. 'I never thought they were the type to do this..'

Remembering how they murdered my brother then claimed I was next boiled my rage even further. I slammed a fist to the wall behind me, tears piling up on my vision as it trickled down my cheeks. 'It's not fair.. I did my best for them..!'

I let out a choked sob as I curled myself into a ball, no longer feeling my leg due to blood loss as I felt my vision drift. I looked up at the moon once more, my ears blaring a screechy sound as my eyelids slowly drooped..

Before my vision fully closed, I felt the moon above me shine brighter than ever. Looking as if it was wishing me good luck on my new journey.

'I.. I wish I could've seen my brother one last time..' I fully closed my eyes, feeling myself limp before succumbing to the darkness. My ears ringing rose in volume before it all stopped.
