ALLISON POTTER had been friends with the marauders for the same amount of time as James. She wasn't as close with them as her brother was, but she knew them. Becoming partners with Sirius for the potion project, made them spend time alone with each other. They opened up to one another and both saw different sides of each other. Allison never intended of liking her brothers best friend, but you can't always control what your heart wants. She knew James wasn't going to be into the idea of his sister and best friend being together, that's why she wanted to keep it a secret for a little while so they could figure it out without all the pressure surrounding it. Allison never kept secrets from Lily, and it was chewing her up inside.They told each other practically everything.
Allison looked at her best friend and nervously played with her rings. They were both sitting on the grass at the black lake. Lily was lying on the blanket they brought with them, reading a romance novel she got for Christmas. Allison cleared her throat, she was finally telling Lily about Sirius. She sat up properly. "I need to tell you something"she said, breaking the silence. It was finally time to come clean about the relationship she was having with Sirius. Lily's eyes roamed over to her and slowly closed the book. "Is it something serious?"The red haired girl proceeded to ask. She sat up properly and waited for Allison to speak.Allison nodded. She played with her hands nervously, working up the courage. "I need you to promise me you won't tell anyone what i'm about to say. you can't tell James either "She said in a serious tone of voice. "Promise! This has to be serious if your brother doesn't know about it.."Lily replied, she always kept her secrets. Allison was her best friend and she wasn't going to put their friendship at risk.Allison took a breath."I have a boyfriend"she blurted out. Lily's eyes went wide and she raised an eyebrow. "Since when is having a boyfriend a bad thing. You can tell James, he won't care."She said with a confused expression spreading across her face. "I'm dating someone I'm not supposed to be! But I really like him"she expressed to the girl. Lily raised an eyebrow. Panic rushed over her face. "Are you dating Malfoy?"she said with a disgusted expression on her face. "Fuck no!!"Allison shook her head frantically, she would never in a million years go out with Lucius Malfoy."No.. Lily. I'm dating Sirius... Sirius Black is my boyfriend.That's why you can't tell my brother at the moment. Because i need to tell him myself"she explained. Lily eyes widened even more if that was possible and her mouth dropped open slightly. Lily uttered something that wasn't english. Allison sighed silently. Oh god, repeated in Allison head. They sat in complete silence for a few seconds. "You need to say something Lily!!"she exclaimed in a stressed tone. Lily looked at her best friend.
"I can't believe you are dating Sirius. How long has this been going on.. How did this even happen? James is going to kill him.. you know"she asked all this questions. "We have ben officially dating for a few weeks.. maybe like eight weeks?"she sighed. "We were spending so much time together and we ended up kissing. We both denied our feelings for a while.. and then i realised that i did actual have real feelings for him. So I let him take me on a date and the rest is pretty much.. as you'd expect it"she explained to her best friend. It felt good finally telling her what has been happening. Allison felt awful keeping this secret from her brother, they normally told each other everything, but she knew she needed to tell him at the eight time so he didn't freak out as much. "I've been keeping this from you because i needed time to figure out if this thing with Sirius was serious or not. And I really like him Lily."she expressed. "I've never seen you like this before, Allie?"She commented. "You have seemed much happier recently.I'm happy for you, always. I hope that Black is treating you right"she smiled. "You're his first girlfriend, right?"she asked Allison, the brunette nodded. Allison touched her cheeks, they were red from just talking about Sirius. "I've never felt this way before, i'm scared"she admitted out loud. Lily wrapped an arm around the girls shoulder. "Falling in love is absolutely terrifying.. but it's totally worth it"Lily spoke in a wise tone of voice. Allison dropped her head to the girls shoulder. "I think i am falling for him, Lily"she whispered. "I can tell by the way you talk about him"Lily smiled, it was nice to see Allison opening her heart up to a boy. Allison hardly dated. "How am i going to tell James"she groaned. They spoke about all the details that Lily missed out on. Gossiping about the dates, what happened at the party and everything in between. Coming up with an idea on how to break the news to her brother.
