Pov. Hope:
Isaac and I quickly ran into the history room.
We didn't make it before the bell rang, all because of those stupid girls who were harassing Isaac in the corridor.
Yes. I was jealous. But it's a normal feeling when some chicks approach someone's crush.
I really hope I find a friend. I know it will be hard because many girls have a crush on my best friend . I'm also ready to be pushed away by many of Isaac's friends.
I'm ready for anything.
Isaac suddenly opened the door, which attracted the attention of all the students present, as well as an older man around 60 years old, probably a teacher. You don't have to be Sherlock.
"First day of school after summer break and my favorite student is late for class," was the sarcastic sentence that left the older man's mouth.
"Calm down, Mr. Williams, I was showing a new student around the school," the boy standing next to me said to the so-called Mr. "Williams."
He didn't even wait for the teacher's answer, he just grabbed my hand. He was heading towards the last bench. He sat down and I sat down next to him.
"I'll forgive you today, Mr. Garcia," he said, then turned his eyes to me. "What's your girlfriend's name?" he quickly changed the subject
"A friend," Isaac corrected him
"Best friend," I corrected both of them. The whole class looked at me. I felt like hiding somewhere and never coming out, it's very overwhelming.
"Mr. Williams..." I started, slowly getting up from the seat, "My name is Hope Howard, I recently moved into the Walter family home, along with my terrible sister, after learning that our parents and sister died in a car accident. Basically, I lived in New York before. - I said with a straight face. Why lie to someone that I moved here because of the scenery and country air?
Everyone seemed shocked and I sat back down
"Nice to meet you Hope, I hope you will follow Mr. Garcia's example and come to class on time. "

In each lesson, the teachers introduced their classes, and in each of these lessons I had to get up from my chair and tell something about myself, it's so stupid.
Recently, we started a longer lunch break than others. Me and Isaac walk side by side, our hands lightly brushing against each other. The boy opened the door to the cafeteria. Several pairs of eyes noticed us, but we ignored them.
"Will you sit with me and Nathan? "- Lee walked up to us, pointing to the table next to which the other boy was sitting.
"Sure," Isaac said for the two of us.
We sat down at the table and at the same time.
"Isn't this your sister Hope? "- Nathan pointed his finger at the girl standing with her back to us.
"Yes, that's her, maybe I'll go get her" - I didn't wait for an answer, I just got up from the table and approached my sister from behind.
"Hi Jackie," I shouted, putting my hand on her shoulder, which wasn't a good idea because Jackie jumped.
"I'm sorry, big sister," I covered my giggle with my hand.
"It didn't happen"
"How was your first day at your new school?" I asked her after I calmed down.
"Okay," she gave me a gentle smile.
"Yes, me too"
"Shall we go get some food?" Jackie asked and I nodded.
We stood in a not too long queue, and when it was our turn, neither Jackie nor I knew what to eat.
While I was thinking about what to put on my tray, Cole put a sandwich and an apple on it and made a tomo with Jackie. I smiled and silently thanked him. It was my time to escape. Cole wanted to talk to Jackie, and she obviously wanted to talk to him. I left them and went to my table and the boys' table.
