Tired didn't even begin to describe how I was feeling.

Between jet lag and playing in the water today, my body felt like it had been through six obstacle courses.

We had a late dinner today, which meant a late bedtime for Hayden. Which was fine, we were on vacation. Plus, she slept for four hours earlier, she wasn't going to bed any time soon anyway.

After dinner, we watched Christmas movies. It felt weird considering there was sand outside instead of snow but Harry made sure we were reminded that tomorrow was Christmas.

The tree in the corner of the living room had to have been taller than 12 ft and I was curious about who decorated it. It was beautiful, Hayden's name was spelled out across the tree in light up letters. I couldn't bother to really focus on any of the other details as her name was the boldest decoration. And to be fair, it's the only one that mattered. Harry must've really thought about this.

I lay in the middle of the bed on my back, my arms thrown over my eyes as I listened to Harry read Hayden a bedtime story over the baby monitor. She had fallen asleep a few minutes ago but he was still reading the book, his voice low so he didn't wake her.

I was tired but even alone, I couldn't bring myself to fall asleep. I didn't want to go to sleep.

I wanted to wait for Harry.

So, when he finished the book and told Hayden goodnight, my heart started racing. I listened to him softly shut her door, I listened to his footsteps as he made his way toward our room and I listened as he pushed our door open, the energy of the room shifting to one that I couldn't decipher right away.

"Chérie, are you awake?" He asked, shutting the door behind him.

"Mhm," I hummed as his feet padded across the carpet. The bed dipped beside me and it wasn't until I felt him hovering over me that I decided to take my arm from over my eyes.

He stared down at me with a lopsided grin, "Guess what?"

"What?" I couldn't help my smile as I stared up at him.

"Merry Christmas, baby," He said, leaning down and brushing his lips over mine.

"It's midnight already?" I asked, turning my head and glancing at the digital clock beside us. He hummed, leaning closer so that his lips were pressed to my cheek.

Sure enough, the clock had just struck midnight.

"Merry Christmas, Harry," I mumbled, closing my eyes as he wrapped his arms underneath me. Subconsciously, I spread my legs so he could settle between them.

He dragged his lips along my jaw, clearing his throat as he nestled his head in my neck, "You love me, huh?"

I didn't say anything. I could hear the cockiness in his voice, I could feel the smirk on his lips as he waited for me to admit it again. I'm sure this was an 'I knew it' moment for Harry and considering I already said it twice, I'd be damned if I say it again right now. Especially because it's what he wants me to do.

I shrugged, giggling when he huffed.

"You don't know?"

"Nope," I drawled out, popping the p.
