it's so hard to find songs that fit,
we might have to go without them for a while.

Four months later

"Alright, bug," I said as I closed the third book of the night, "That's it, it's time for bed. Go brush your teeth."

Hayden groaned, rolling over in her bed, "Just one more, please!"

"Maybe we can get your dad to read you another one, but I cannot unless I'm going to pee on myself," I swung my legs over the bed and stood up, pulling my shirt down over my slightly swollen belly.

"Will he read Cat in the Hat?" She stood up on her bed as I held my arms out for her.

I lifted her into my arms with a grunt before turning and walking out of the room, "Of course, he has to!"

We walked out into the hallway and straight across the hall to the bathroom, the sound of the TV floating through Harry's house. I used the bathroom and helped Hayden brush her teeth before we made our way downstairs to where Harry was.

With Hayden's head resting on my shoulder, I rounded the corner into the living room. Harry was on the phone and it didn't take long for me to gain his attention. His hair was pulled back into a bun, a hairstyle that has become his favorite recently. Mine as well, if I was being honest. It gave me a clear view of his face at all angles and there was no reason to complain about that.

"I can offer you a billion to start," He met me halfway, immediately taking Hayden from my arms as he shook his head, silently scolding me for carrying her around, "My business partner is more than willing to negotiate the deal, but he isn't as gracious. I can guarantee that your best interest would be accepting the deal that I am presenting to you right now."

He made his way into the kitchen and I followed after him. He sat Hayden on the counter and walked over to the freezer, "Or I can pull out of the deal, we can end the call and go on about our lives, it doesn't make any difference to me," He pulled a popsicle from the freezer, opened it and handed it to Hayden, ignoring my silent protests.

He put her on the floor and she quickly ran out of the kitchen before I had the chance to try and take it from her. I put my hands on my hips and narrowed my eyes at him, to which he just smirked.

"You've got yourself a deal. I'll send you an email soon, bye." He hung up and tossed his phone on the counter before making his way over to me, "Don't give me that look, sweetie."

"She's supposed to be on her way to sleep," I pointed out as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Mhm," He hummed, looking down at me with hooded eyes and a smirk that made me weak in the knees.

"And now she's gonna be bouncing off the damn walls 'cause you gave her a freaking popsicle!" I scolded him as he ducked his head to kiss my cheek. I rolled my eyes, "You're not even listening to me."

"I am," I felt him smile, his other hand coming up to rest on my belly, "You're just very distracting."

"Harry?"

"Yeah, baby?" He murmured as I reached up and grabbed his jaw, pulling him away from me so that I could get a good look at his face.

"You're staying in that room with her until she falls asleep," I tapped his cheek before twisting out of his arms and making my way over to the sink, "She wants you to read Cat in the Hat again anyway."
