Ivy woke up to a high pitched ringing sound in her ears, along with the feeling of her head pounding.

She moved her arms up to lift her chest off of the ground, which she was lying face down on.

The sixteen-year-old girl brought herself to a sitting position, and once she was sitting, she took a moment to look around.

Obviously, Ivy was scared. But the one other emotion that was greater than her fear, was her confusion. Where was she?

From what she remembered, this is the last place she expected to wind up.

What did she remember?

Well…

Ivy was in the forest. Not an uncommon thing for her. She liked climbing trees, and picking flowers, and she just appreciated nature in general.

Things got unusual when she felt something small land on her head. It didn't hurt too bad, but it drew her attention. She looked up, seeing the trees above and assuming it was an acorn. But before she looked back in front of her, she felt a strong push.

The push sent her falling backwards, and she hit the back of her head on a log.

And then... well, that's all she could remember.

So when she woke up where she did, you could imagine how beyond puzzled she was.

If she was kidnapped, which is what she assumed happened, why on Earth would she end up here? And where even was "here?" All she could see was the large dirt clearing, poorly coated with grass. The sky was a pale blue, no clouds or sun to be seen, just blue.

She didn't know what to call the ground other than a field, although that wasn't a very good word for it. For starters, she was on a hill. One of many hills in the strange setting.

Ivy rolled her dry lips in her mouth for a moment, trying to bring moisture back to them. It only helped the smallest bit, mostly just allowing her to taste the sand on her lips.

After taking a couple slow breaths, Ivy reached a hand up to her head, touching three fingers to the back of her head. She felt a wet spot on her head, along with a sting at the contact.

She immediately noticed the red liquid that coated her fingers when she looked at them, the source being the spot on her head.

She continued to look around, the confusion turning into worry.

Her heart dropped as she realized something.

She was with her sister in the forest.

She wasn't with her here.

Raven woke up and immediately started coughing.

She had no idea how she got where she was, but she couldn't really focus on that. Her entire body was sore, and the top right corner of her forehead hurt with an agonizingly painful sting. Not to mention her throat burning.

The last thing she remembered was being in the forest with her sister, Ivy.

She was looking away from her sister, her eyes trained on her shoes as she walked, and her hands in the pockets of her black jeans.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw her older sister fall to the ground as she gasped. Raven's head perked up to look at her sister. Her eyes widened at the sight of the teenager on the floor, but before she could say or do anything, she felt cold hands around her mouth.
