When Raven stepped through the opening, the absence of a wall was soon filled with a metal door sliding down from the ceiling. The girl didn't realize until she heard it slam shut behind her, and she whipped her head around. Seeing the now-closes entrance, Raven's eyes widened. "No!" She shouted, running towards the door and banging her hands against it. "No! Shit! Shit! Fuck!"

After pounding on the door multiple times did nothing, she turned and looked at the scenery.

She couldn't see Ivy anymore, the invisible wall that was once there closed as well, leaving Raven with no sight of her sister.

In and in front of her were different pine trees, logs, tree stumps, rocks, all covered in snow. In some areas, a stick would poke out of the snow, like it was trying to escape being swallowed whole by the cold. The white cold was below her, too.

What scared Raven the most was that unlike the desert terrain she had previously been in, this one was enclosed. The Arctic type environment stretched on for maybe 20 feet before it met with a metal wall.

It was like she was in a box.

An escape room.

Realizing how cool the air was, she shivered, untying her jacket from her waist and pulling it on.

At least Ivy wasn't trapped in this side. She'd have nothing.

-

Ivy entered the woods, hearing a whooshing sound and turning to see a metal door slide down, trapping her in. Or… out. She wasn't really sure.

She looked at the barrier and sighed, turning to look at where she once saw her sister, but it was just woods. Trees that stretched on for miles and miles.

Her heart started to race and Ivy closed her eyes, taking slow breaths in and out. When she felt she was calm enough, she opened her eyes again and started walking.

First, she approached where the invisible wall once was. Maybe it was still there, but it hid the view of her sister.

It wasn't.

Ivy reached out to feel what might be a wall, but her arm just continued through, not running into anything.

So she continued to walk through the woods, the dead leaves crunching beneath her feet.

She came upon a log, and remembered what has happened last time she'd been in a forest.

The whole reason they were here.

What if they hadn't gone out that day? What if the log wasn't there, and Ivy never hit her head?

The redhead's train of thought was disrupted when she felt something hit her head.

The memory of what happened during her last time in the forest flashed before her eyes and she started running, not bothering to try and see what hit her. She just ran.

-

Raven stepped forward, her hands buried in her pockets as she reached the middle of the scenery. She turned in circles, looking for anything that would hint at a way out. Seeing one of the pine trees, she got an idea.

Raven and Ivy would constantly climb trees. Never a pine tree, so Raven didn't know how difficult this might be, but maybe she could get over the wall by climbing a tree.

She rushed over to the tree closest to the wall and grabbed onto one of the branches before hoisting herself up. The coldness of the branch chilled her hand so much that it burned, but Raven ignored it. It was a small price to pay if it meant getting out.

She had climbed maybe six feet up before the snow from the ground started to pick up.

It whirled around her, snapping against her face and body at such a speed that it left cuts everywhere.

Raven squeezed her eyes shut and tried to hold onto the branches, but the snow was pricking at her hands and fingers, and her grip gave out a little more with each small cut it gave her.

-

Ivy ran until she couldn't anymore. She could only hope she was safe by then.

As she caught her breath, something caught her eye.

A tree.

There were trees surrounding her, yes, but they were all stood straight up, being so tall she could barely see the top. This one branched out every which way, some parts even curving.

Like it was designed for someone to climb it.
