Saki Haruno - Sasuke's Mystery Child

Chapter 8

*Saki was in a dark room alone. Horror filled her body as she looked around frantically to see that she was hooked to a machine, one she knew very well. In a split second the room went from hauntingly quite to being filled with ear shattering screams. She recognized the voice, panic started rising in her chest, it was Ayato. She turned her head, just to find him strapped to the same machine next to her. As his machine turned on Saki screamed for them to stop, she couldn't hear his cries anymore, those screams scared her. She would open her eyes, suddenly waking up with a frantic rise from her bed.

Saki – I was a dream "I would mumble to myself between every breath as the fear would have me panting and trying hard to stabilize my breathing"

*Saki would check the time, causing her to sigh, it would be 3 in the morning. Not wanting to go back to her nightmares she would decide to go for a run.

*She closed her eyes; the air hit her face as she made her way through Konoha's empty streets. Well I guess not so empty because she ran straight into someone.

Saki – Ouch "I would say holding my head before looking up" Great, you again "I would grumble"

Sasuke – What are you doing up this early

Saki – Don't you have eyes, I'm obviously out on a jog. I should add blind to you list of shortcomings, right next to horrible spouse.

Sasuke – Okay, let me rephrase, what are you doing taking a jog at such an ungodly hour.

Saki – I could ask you the same thing

Sasuke – Official business for the hokage, now it's your turn.

Saki – Can't sleep, have a lot on my mind "I would say in my most civil voice yet"(maybe the sleep deprivation is getting to me, I'm never this nice)

Sasuke – (I will regret this) So what's on your mind "He would say as the both of us started walking in the same direction"

Saki – What do you care "I would say tauntingly"

Sasuke – Well I'm the only one here, so just humor me "He would say annoyed"

Saki – (This isn't a good idea, he doesn't need to know anything, but) had a nightmare "I would say lowering my voice"

Sasuke – About what "He would now be looking at me, with a questioning look"

Saki – It's in the past now, it's not a big deal "I would say breaking eye contact"

Sasuke – I know we don't get along Saki, and you have your reasons to resent me but, if your need to talk I don't mind listening. (Why am I worried about her)

Saki – (No,no,no go back to being the bad mouthed asshole) "I would sigh meeting his eyes" It was about a part of training I had in the past, let's just say it was a cruel punishment, I still remember every single moment "My voice would turn strained" I haven't had this dream in a while, I thought I was over it, it's just, I was taken by surprise that's all.

Sasuke – Do you have them often, I mean the nightmares "His voice would be soft and gentle"

Saki – Pretty much every time I close my eyes. "I would yawn"

Sasuke – You should get some sleep

Saki – I really must be sleep deprived if I'm pouring my heart out to you "I would turn around and head for my apartment" (This changes nothing, he abandoned you wishes you dead and is a just a jerk in general, don't let yourself go soft)

*When morning would finally come, Saki would report to lord Naruto's office for her promised mission, but when she will enter she will be met by her sister, and the guy she couldn't stand, Boruto.
